Hi everyone, I hope I post this in the right area because this is my first time on the forums!
I'm just curious about the Bronco 40 amp. It looks very attractive to me and i'm on the urge of picking one up because I love the idea behind having my own effects in one amp with the fender fuse plus it sounds like you get a lot of bass for your buck! (from what i've seen) However the only downside for me is how loud it actually is. I plan to get back into gigging soon and i'd love to pick one of these up for home use and said gigging but has it got any live potential? If not can anyone recommend a similar amp that is around the 100 watt mark? Cheers!

I'm also curious on how well this would sound plugged straight into the PA.

Hi Dezarus! Welcome to the Fender Forums. Great first posts and questions. Firstly the Bronco 40 sub-forum doesn't get a lot of action.

Those that own the Bronco 40's love them.
Modwiz and James Coderre both own Bronco 40's. James has written a review that will answer quite a few of your questions. http://www.fender.com/series/bronco-40/bronco-40-120v/

If you need more rehearsal & stage volume then the new version 3 Rumble 200 or 500 is really what you should looking at for band work. No matter what your gig-rig a small personal practice amp such as the Bronco 40 always comes in handy. It's digital modeling & effects are excellent. USB direct into your computer for noise free recording or access Fender Fuse for updates; tone sculpting, and swapping tone settings with other Bronco 40 owners. Lots of good things to be said about the Bronco 40. 8)

I have been missing my Bronco as it is in storage while I am in temporary lodging for the Summer. It is a great personal bass amp. It allows one to explore just about any possibility of bass tones and effects that lead me into new areas of creativity not accessed with straight plug and play playing.

With a single 10" speaker, even with xlr out, its viability as a performance amp is dependent on the situation. With headphones the immersion is incredible. Swapping out speaker cabs is also useful for understanding possibilities.

My Rumble 350 with the 2x8 Neo cab was what I chose to have with me. Not sure I made the right choice with me wanting to play with an octave-iser.

The 250 dollar price for the Bronco now, is great. I paid more for my 2x8 neo cab. This is a personal bass players tool that also has practice and performance options. If you can afford one, get one.
