+1 on everything here. Vintage Bassman heads are nice. Whether you're looking for guitar or bass. Vintage Fender Bassman cabs should really only be looked at as a collectors item, and honestly. They aren't really worth much. They weren't bad in the day, but modern speakers will beat them hands down. For pure tone and performance my two Pro 115s would stomp all over them. (which btw used to sound amazing with my 74 Bassman running through them) You've never heard how great those old heads can sound until you've put them on top of a well engineered stack. As far as weight the Neo cabs will give you all the look, and none of the chiropractor bills.

My brother likes to wire up his Bassman 100 to a pair of SWR Warriors for small club work. It's a whole new ball game for that head when pushing a modern enclosure or two. They're louder, punchier, and a whole lot easier to transport than those old paleolithic fossils.
