I had been out of the bass game for a while, but I came crawling back, and this is the rig I wound up with. Originally, I had the matching 8x10 Acoustic cab with the head, but I am just not up to hauling that thing around. Enter the trade. I basically stole these Bassman cabs, and I do NOT feel bad about it..lol. Anyhoo, I'd like to know, can you ID the year with the serial #, and what head went with these cabs. Eventually, I'd like an all Fender setup, cos, really, it doesn't get any better. Thanks in advance.

Those are the previous Bassmen Pro Neo cabs before the new retro look versions came out to compliment the Super Bassman & Bassman 100t all tube heads. The 410; 610, & 810 cabs all enjoy a solid reputation for being very open; airy, and natural sounding. tedsalt is running a Rumble 500 head on top of a pair of 410 Neo cabs. He'll tell you all about them 8)

There was a Bassman 300 tube head and also a 1200 and a 600 hybird amps at that time.
Call or email Fender's Consumer Relations with your serial #'s and see if they can give you a date of manufacture.

OK Looks like you've got the black ozite carpeting A.K.A "Rat Fur" that tends to date your cabs to the early 1990's.

I'm not a huge fan of the carpet covering, the cats have a field day with it. But, I figured that would make it easier to date. I had an M-80 guitar stack back in the day, and the carpet on it was terrible...I love these cabs, and though the Acoustic sounds great through it, I want the whole enchilada. Fender guy, through and through.
