I just went to AMS and they have knocked the prices off on the 2nd generation of Rumbles. You can still get the Rumble 350 combo and head, the Rumble 150 combo and head, the 15 and 30 combos, and the 2x8" cab. Everything else looks like it's gone. If you want to pick one of these up still new, this would be the time to do it at a good price. If not, the new series will be out sooner or later. I think the 2nd generation is still a good amplifier, though. My 350 combo as served me well, at least. That is tempting to pick up another 350 combo with the price knocked off $100. Hmm, decisions, decisions... :P

I ordered the 2x8 neo cab. They had a demo model for 260.99 with full warranty, so I snagged it. I'll get it Wed. I feel good about this purchase. :D

I'm curious as to the sound of those, since I've never played through one. Like how it compares to a 2x10" set up.

Never did either. I am expecting a 1x10" plus kind of performance. My 4x8 is like 2x10plus. Never heard a neo bass speaker. Weber says they have a performance similar to alnicos. I'll start finding out some time tomorrow. :D

Hmm. this is strange. For a few days, AMS no longer had any Rumble 350 combos in stock and the product page was removed from their site. I just went there and it's back in stock with the price still discounted. I suppose they must have got another shipment from Fender. I've never seen them do this before. Usually when something is gone there, it's gone. Well, that's cool that there is some still left if someone wants to pick one up. I wish I could, but I'm not sure I'll be able to right now. It's a good amp to have.

It's possible that AMS purchased that stock from another store that did not want to retail what they may have now regarded as "orphans". I've seen that before with other (non-Fender) brands of gear.

Yeah, they also have a Fender TB600C combo (dent & scratch) in stock now. I think the Pro series (or whatever they were called) has been gone almost a year now, so it was probably a demo model someone had laying around somewhere, or shoved in a back room storage. I've actually got a really good deal with one of their dent & scratch items. It is my Schecter Diamond J Bass. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it, other than the factory box it was shipped with was opened previously.

My 2x8 neo cab was a demo model. Unless I knew that, I wouldn't know that.

Got a great price for a great little cab. Getting it was a carpe diem moment.
