Just $350 for the Rumble 350 combo! If you wait until next year you'll just have to pick up a used one. This is something special to the point of just whipping out the credit card and yelling "CHARGE"! Because 'He Who Hesitates Is Lost'.

But I do understand. I've had to let a lot of great and truely desirable deals just slip through my fingers too. Now I just stay deeply in debt!

That is a great deal...saw a couple of 350 combos on craigslist for $300. I would much rather spend the extra $50 for a new one, but I am still paying on my new Dimension Bass. My Rumble 75 is still able to handle the job and if I have to, I will run it through the board or mic it.

LOVE my Rumble 75! One of the greatest lil b'amps ever devised by Fenderkind.

Yep, the final death blow for a product. The blowout sale. I haven't seen that yet at AMS, but I suspect it will happen sooner or later. As cool as the new series is, the older ones aren't exactly slouches. They'll do the job. To be honest, I've kind of always wanted one of the original series with the rat far and the cheesy disco lights underneath. I wouldn't gig with it, but just for grins and messing around the house. I wouldn't go out of my way to pick one up, but if the right deal and situation came up, why not? I really didn't read about too many horrible things about them, anyway. A lot of people actually liked the 100 watt version.

Very nice. They are great amps. I am glad I got the older tone stack with the variable mid control. It is much easier to find exactly where I want to cut or boost the mids. I love it.

That's a pretty good deal, although I have to admit I've had issues with my Schecter playing nice with the EQ section of the Rumble. I could use some more EQ options with it than I have. It's good, but I've actually got a better tone with my beater Peavey Basic 50 that I have in my office that I use for demo stuff. Go figure. Sometimes certain basses work better with different amps and sometimes not so much. Then again, there can be other factors involved too. Room placement, the mood you're in, etc.

I agree with you about certain bass, and amp combinations, playing well with others etc.

I remember reading about Keith Richards saying that Fender guitars sound best with Fender amps. From what I've experienced, I'd say he's right. I suppose it would make sense on when Fender tests their amps that the instruments they'd use would be Fenders, more so than any other brand. My Fender P-Bass Lyte and even my Squier Vintage Modified Jazz sound amazing through the Rumble without a lot of tweaking and my Squier Vintage Modifed Tele Custom does through my '82 Super Champ.

Unfortunately, the P-Bass Lyte and the Squier Jazz need some work done to them. Both need set ups and the P-Bass Lyte has a short in it. Actually, I have another two basses that need work as well. An Ibanez CT series bass that also has a short and a Peavey Zodiac bass that has some sort of neck issue. I have a total of 5 basses, yet only one that's really reliable for work and that's the Schecter. I suppose the Squier Jazz is too, but the action isn't that great on it right now and maybe it could use a little fret dressing too. At least the electronics are good in it.

Eventually, I'm going to take each bass somewhere and get them fixed and set up to where they are as playable as the Schecter. To be honest, I've always been terrible about trying to do this myself (especially adjusting a truss rod.) I'd rather just have someone else do it that really knows what the hell they are doing and I don't have to screw with it and probably break something. :P I suppose if I really put the effort in it, I could learn how to do this properly myself, but I have other things to worry about as far as music goes and I don't mind giving someone the business that can use it.

Cool. 8) Yeah, it's hard not too not crank it up. Besides, depending on the size room you got it in, it's loud on the 1. It does have a headphone jack, but I've yet to use it, myself.
