Wow, already? I know the date has been jacked up to at least May at AMS, but I'm sure a few have gotten out there elsewhere that has or had them. I'll go see what they have to say.

There for probably 10 minutes. :P From that last time I checked, they were due May 1st over at AMS, but who knows what will happen by then? I'm not going to be shopping for any right now, but I'm curious how these stack against the older ones.

I was thinking about the Rumble 200, until I saw the specs as 200 Watts @ 4 ohms (with Extension Cabinet), 140 Watts @ 8 ohms (Internal). I don't want to add an Extension Cab to a 15" combo. I just want a straight 200 watt combo.

I figure that about what my 350 head puts out into an 8 ohm cab. My 4x8 is thunderous. The single fifteen is old school and plenty loud for a what one would use a single 15 for. Adding either the 4x8 or the 2x8 to the 1x15 makes for a very well rounded rig at 350 watts.

This is the best bass head I've ever owned. :D

Well if I want to add to it, the Markbass Mini CMD 121P combo, NY121 cab is 500 watts @ 4 ohms, 300 watts @ 8 ohms. I just want to use a 15" combo on it's own for it's own sound. I do know what you mean though.

Still haven't found any reviews to read yet. My biggest interest is the new tone stack. I must say, the new look does not work for me. I feel very in-synch having purchased this amp when I did. During a Fender Summer sale too.

I hope everyone is thrilled with the new gear because they can't have mine. Bwa-ha-ha-ha.

How are those Markbass amps, anyway? I've read various things about them, but I've never had the chance to try one out myself. I suppose the fact that only Guitar Center sells them (or at least they use to) is a big factor in that. That's one store I'd strongly prefer to avoid shopping in, to say the least.

The Markbass are solid amps, with power, and a great bottom sound. The BC speakers in them are pretty distortion free also. They are also very well made. The Markbass, Mini CMD 121P combo, NY121 cab. You are correct about GC being pretty much the U.S. distributor of Markbass. For now anyway.

I'm not crazy about dealing with GC either, but Markbass is worth it.

I got this bit of intel from tedsalt from his Rumble 500 Owner's Manual. It's quite enlightening.

This is for all the D-Class Rumble frontends: 40; 100, 200, and 500

Bass:+-15dB@80Hz
Low-Mid: +-12dB@280Hz
The only change from the 2nd generation Rumble 75/150 frontend is that the low-mids have been revoiced from 400Hz down to 280Hz. All other voicings are the same, which I find to be a good thing.
High-Mid:+-12dB@1.2kHz
Treble:+-15dB@10kHz

Shape Filters (buttons):
Bright:+13dB@10kHz
Contour:+1dB@80Hz, -13dB@670Hz, +2dB@8kHz Contour replaces the old 'Scoop' button: +2dB@125, -13dB@650, +2.5dB@8kHz so very small differences indeed, but ones Fender engineers felt needed to be made.

Vintage: Dynamic compression (-9dB max) with low pass (-6dB/oct)@400Hz
'Bright' and 'Vintage' are totally new to the version3 Rumbles. Vintage being of particular intrest due to the reduction of compression and the addition of a low pass filter.

When talking about controls, it does state for MASTER that "Rumble amps are equipped with Fender's Delta-Comp limiter. Setting the Master higher or playing more aggressively will result in more compression and sustain!" Fender's built in "Delta-Comp" dynamic compressor & limiter is really some of the 'secret sauce' of Rumble's well rearned reputation for great tone and high volume. It's been around a long time and it's better now than ever before.

Well, it looks like you have slightly different EQ options than previously, which isn't a bad thing. I suppose the proof will be in the pudding when it finally comes out and people put it through it's paces. Now it's just a matter of waiting.

Thanks for the report, Linnin. So, the compressor is why they sound so good. Whatever works. And, it is working. :D

This line is sure to attract more buyers, IMO. It is a great amp at very good prices.
