Ordered a few things from Sweetwater yesterday. My 'Sales Engineer' told me that Rumble pre-orders were quite strong, and that their first shipment should arrive by the end of March.

I don't know guys...
I believe the previous version of "Rumble" sounds much better.
This new stuff sounds like you are in a tunnel. My 350c sounds warmer, more full, ect.
I'm still on the fence about this new line. Also, I think the "500" should have come with 2x12.
Being able to add an extension cab to the combos is a nice upgrade from the previous line. I will make my way to the local shop and try one out, but as of now I not diggin" the sound of the new line.
These comments are based on the online demos that I have found.
My $0.02

As I stated in an earlier post. I like the current, old, EQ. The sweeping semi-parametric mid control works very well for me. One volume with the drive control is very much to my liking. Good thing, since it's what I have.

There is much to like with both models, in a spec by spec comparison. It will be interesting to note the new impressions once there are some. That is, if Rumble owners aren't ashamed they admit they own one.

I just want a good sounding, dependable amp that is reasonably priced. The wow factor will come from my playing.........or not.

I'm not sure either about how the new line will pan out in comparison with the old line. Like it been said, time will tell when they finally come out.

I know I like my 350 combo, and now if I want another one, it will have to be on the used market, unless there is some hold outs at some other store. AMS sold their last one the other day. Sad to see it go in a way, since it's a good amp. I just hope they know what they are doing with the new ones.

I'm curious on how this will pan out with the 5 year warranty (mine is only 2 years old,) since I heard (I think on this forum, in fact) that they don't even fix amps anymore, just replace them with another one. If this is true, then what? The 500 combo? It's not exactly the same amp, even though it's the same price. Hopefully, I won't have to ever find out, but still.

According to AMS, theirs are due on March 24th. But, you know how that goes. :P Once again the Rumble 350 combo is no longer listed, so I guess they finally got rid on those, unless some more magically show up. So, if I want another Fender amp, it will have to be the new series, if I want a new one and not used (which I typically do.)

Actually, I've been thinking about that 40 watt job that they have coming out, as well. I could use a new practice amp, and I've read it has a line out, which would be handy for my old school 4-track demo "studio." It's funny, I have access to a professional studio, yet I still like to mess around with this thing. Then again, it's in my office where my computer is, so it's convenient when the muse strikes.

I'm with you CPL. I am going to bet you a doughnut that the Rumble 40 becomes a runaway best seller. It's priced exactly the same as the Rumble 30 it replaces. As far as I know, it's the only D class amp in it's power & price range. It shares the very same front end/pre-amp as the new Rumble 500 on down. I don't know of anything under $200 that's is going to be able to touch it for light weight; small footprint, and most importantly great tone. I'll bet a lot of pros use them for personal practice & hotel room amps. They'd be perfect bedroom/dorm room amps for high school & university students.

Another unusual feature on an Amp that size is the XLR output.
Now you connect to a PA and have all the volume needed to gig in a Tavern.

Indeed. It will fill a particular niche, because of it's size and features quite well, I think. I'd even like it if they'd put a line out on the smallest size version, since the room my set up is in is rather small, almost closet sized. My Rumble 350 is too big for that, so it's relegated for it's designed purpose (live) and band rehearsal. I have used it in the pro studio, though.

Yeah, since I don't really need a big amp right now (though as tempting as they may be and are,) so most likely it will be the 40 before the 500. Unless of course, my Rumble 350 all of the sudden meets it's demise, which I seriously hope doesn't. That would suck, considering I have a gig lined up in April.

I emailed Sweetwater Friday for a status update on shipment on Rumble 500 heads, and they reported the date has been moved back to April 15th.

I just looked at AMS and they appear to have at least the 500 head and 15" cab in stock. The combo and a couple other things (I didn't look at every item) are just listed as pre-order today. Originally, it was listed sometime in early April, but I forgot the date.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. It might be best to wait and see if they are shipping out any duds on the first batch, doing a rush job from the factory and not doing any quality control. They pulled that stunt with the Squier Bass VI's, which were back ordered for 4 months and I got one of the first ones and it had a screwed up neck on it. I had to return it and get my money back. These amps are coming from the same country (Indonesia) but I'm not sure if it's the same factory as the Squiers are made, though. I just hope the quality control department for the amps is a lot better than those Squiers did. The second series, like I have were made in China, so obviously a different factory. At least the second generation has held up pretty good, so hopefully the third will as well.
