I never been a fan of those cab horns, either. I don't like excessive treble because I have a tendency to get "clacky" sounding with it.

With 8", and even 6", speakers available the use of a horn seems poorly chosen but, the ability to silence the little screamer is the best workaround. I would not conceive of denying those who appreciate HF horns their ability to honk if they are happy.

Of course you could utilize horns of this fashion. :P Image

That was one hell of a stack!

Rumbles are keepers. If they ever got phased out the owners would be fortunate for having one, IMO.

Enjoy that 150. :D

I have a HF horn in my cab. It's turned almost off, It's barely on. Just to get a small amount of high through. Real Small! If I didn't have it in the cab, no big deal. My bass settings are set extremely high.

I wonder how this set would work out for some extra highs... ??? After all, it is 'high up' on a 40 foot utility pole.

Pre-NAMM scuttlebutt is a new revamped Rumble line up with 500 & 200 watt heads & combos. The 1x12 combo gets a boost to 100 watts from 75, and the 1x10 goes from 30 to 40 watts.

The look is also rumored to mirror that of the Bassman Pro series.

The 410 cab remains, but I guess with the new old traditional Fender Bassman look.

New is a 115 cab, and it appears that the old 2x8 & 112 Neo cabs are history.

So I scrambled around looking for a matched pair of Rumble 112 Neo cabs. MF & GC = 0.
Scored the last one from Sweetwater and copped another from AMS. If you are looking to buy either of these neo cabs the time is now! Pull out that plastic and yell CHARGE! I just did. Twice!

THIS is very interesting. I might have given up on the basses and guitars (at least the really cheap ones-yeah, lesson learned :P,) but I still love the amps. That's one thing I think they still do right. I've found it difficult to find an amplifier at this price range that sounds as good with the features involved, at least where bass is concerned. I've been hoping for some of these (like the 15) to come out.

You probably could or should have waited at AMS a little bit, because they might have discounted the cab some if they are going to drop it and you would have save some scratch. I got my Schecter Diamond-J bass there dirt cheap like that. It was listed as a scratch and dent, but there was absolutely nothing wrong with it other than the inner box (they pack them in three boxes) was opened for whatever reason. AMS is a good company. They treated me right in dealing with the whole Squier fiasco.

I am glad that the rumor about Rumbles disappearing seems to be baseless.

Discontinuing them would seem clueless.

Totally unoffical, but some pix can be seen here: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f15/new-fender-rumble-combo-amps-namm-2014-a-1046473/

We'll see offical stuff just as soon as NAMM cranks up. I'll bet FenderVision has a spiffy infomercial on them.
