Hi,
I hope this is the correct place to ask this.

I've got 2 amps (Fender '59 Bassman LTD and a Ampeg Micro-CL)
Both amps are connected to a "LEHLE 3at1 SGoS" pedal.

The problem I'm experiencing is that when both amps are connected they give a hum/noise. This stops when 1 of the amps is disconnected.

I tried a DI (Radial J48) which I also use to split the guitar signal to my amp (or the LEHLE 3at1) and to my PC through a XLR cable.

The "ground lift" on the J48 solves a ground-loop problem with my PC but it doesn't fix the problem with the 2 amps.

Lehl mentions a "lehle P-Split" in the manual of the 3at1 but it's fairly expensive and it's build to directly connect 1 guitar/bass to 2 amps at the same time (so it kinda beats the purpose of the 3at1) and I guess for my problem that would have me purchase 2 of these splitters ? (one for each amp).

So,
is there a better/cheaper method to solve this problem ?

Thanks
Patrick

Don't forget the cable that you are using to daisy chain the amps. Even some "brand name" cords are made in China and have very poor shielding internally that pick up 60 HZ line hum from everything on stage.

I think I saw the answer to this question posted in another (incorrect) thread.
They recommended a hum eliminator.

This box uses transformers to eliminate ground loops.

Why can't you just patch cord out of the Fender and into the Ampeg? Why do you even need a splitter at all???

I'm just lazy I guess
I got the footswitch to quickly switch between basses (got 2) and since it had the option to also switch between 2 amps I thought "why not".

Anyway,
thanks for the replies.
I tried different cable without success.

I couldn't find that exact hum eliminator but my store seems to have one from another brand (ART CleanBOX II Hum Eliminator).

I'll see what that does.
Tnx.
