They're here and they sound Absolutely Fabulous! :D

I'll break them in a bit this week and give 'em a workout next week. I guess a review doesn't really matter as they are discontinued.

Then again, they still have them available (for now) and there is always the used gear market, so you could do a review if you wanted to. The funny thing is, I'll bet they'll probably discontinue your 350 head and my 350 combo, too. It looks like they didn't get the new look and the Rumble 500 is likely the replacement.

I suppose the advantage of this will be an opportunity to snatch either one dirt cheap (if there will be any available) from somewhere like AMS, who marks things down to get rid of them. Because they might be discontinued, by no means they are slouches. That's actually how I got my Schecter Diamond-J bass for $200 less than new, even though it was new, sans the box being opened. The bummer about that is I'll have a hard time trying to find another one if I want one.

OK, bass people and especially, Linnin.
I just ordered a Rumble 2x8 neo cab. They were selling for 289.99. I went for the demo model at 260.99. It is from Sweetwater and has a full warranty. Saves me having to break the speakers in........completely.
They might need a little more. :D

It will get here on Wed.

A 28 pound bass cab that will work in many situations that I might find myself in. As well as a bedroom cab. I think this is a great purchase. The 2x8's were only available at Sweetwater. At least according to my web searches. Other options showed up in the search but, clicking on the link showed them as sold out.

Well, the cab is on the truck. Two more days. Even before I have it, it is obvious to me this is a smart purchase. They will be my first neo speakers.

Stand alone or on top of my 15" cab, this will be a welcome addition to my gear. My 4x8 cab is a mini beast to lug.

I am no Brand name groupie but, I can smile at having a rumble cab for my rumble head. I unclog my nose upon those (said with an outrageous French accent) who think Rumble is something to be ashamed of. Nothing shameful about great amplification at very reasonable prices.

Always a pleasure to 'see' you Mr. Nylon. I was wondering if bass players still visited this thread.

Hey, CPL. Good to 'see' you. :D

Gets lonely in these bass threads. We're not as yacky as the other types.

If I hadn't had things in motion for my amp when the Third Generation rumbles were set, I would have gone with some type of Fender Half Stack.
Hey modwiz, I'm like the wind, I'm around. I'm just thumping with Fender Axes now. 8)

Yeah, I saw that, and it was very tempting to say the least. Sweetwater is still showing new ones as being available for $290, and that's damn cheap considering $560 MSRP. Rumble 150 heads at only $180! What a killer little light weight rig that would make for only $470 shipped. ARGH! Other musicians would be hearing it and going like, 'NO! It can't be that little thing...Fender Rumble?!'

Rumbles Rock Baby, Yeah!

I went to Sweetwater to get one for 290.00 and then I saw the demo for 30 dollars less with a full warranty. I am willing to save 30 dollars to have partially broken in speakers with a full warranty. 290.00 is still a great price for a very portable neo cab.

There are no reviews at sweetwater for this cab. I think the earlier price for 8" speakers made people not look at them. I am now a beneficiary of others' oversight.

I hope.

Indeed. I've been curious about these cabs for a long time, since I've never had any experience with this particular configuration.

I'll give a report as soon as I can. I get it later today.

  I have gotten so used to the sound of the Eminence Neo I put in my Rumble 75 after lining the combo with acoustic foam that my new Rumble Neo 112 cabs sound kind of hollow. :? Guess I am going to have to line them too! :) Also after playing with the Rumble 350 head + twin 112's I am even more impressed with how good my Rumble 75 sounds.
