I would think the 12's are your best plan.

Yes, that was my first thought, and I am still strongly leaning in that direction. The head and two cabs are nearly 10 pounds less than the 350 2x10 combo (which is too heavy for me to lift by myself). The two Eminence Neo 12" woofers move more air than 2x10 and I am going to guess that they sound better doing it. Having better quality speakers in individually tuned cabinets has got to sound better. Volume is not the issue. Tone Is.

The great thing is you'll likely have both tone and volume with whatever you decide. That's not such a bad thing, I think.

Various kinds of dollies out there. And you'd probably get a better deal at the hardware big box than the music big box stores.

Beverage truck dollies are the best, but priciest.

Gruv Gear's "V-Cart" is crazy cool and seems superbly designed, but man is it super expensive at $250! :o

Milwaukee Folding Hand Truck, a light weight folding aluminum hand truck, that will take 150 pounds. It folds very flat, and works very good. Price is about $25.-$30. I think. I got one at K-Mart. Bigger, heavier hand trucks are just what they are. Bigger, and heavier.

I helped hijack my own thread! $@!& That's part of the true beauty of Fender's Rumble NEO cabs = no hand truck needed! Rumble 350 head in it's handy-dandy gigbag slung over your shoulder and a Neo cab in each hand. It is a beautiful thing.

That's true, although you could carry everything thing, or more things at once with a hand truck. At least, I would. I'm a lazy bastard who hates making multi trips. :P

I read that thing has some sort of magnet to attach to the cab. When you finally get you cabs, can you find out the deal with that?

It would easier, and a bit more efficient to move it all at on time. Security wise also, keeping it all together. One thing I like about a my Combo, and cab setup, it's just a bit more contained. Also if I don't want, or need the second 12, just the Combo.

I agree with you on that. That's what I like about combos. One thing I try to do when I'm at a show is do not stray too far from my gear and watch it like a hawk. You never know when some rat bastard will try to steal your stuff. I've known it to happen.

When I was a roadie, the gear was priority one. Security in an arena, or auditorium, etc. handled the stage security. The band played it, but the gear was mine.

That's always a good thing. I wish I had a roadie, sometimes. Since it's just been myself and my girlfriend in the past, I've had to schlep all the gear. We use to have this ASR 10 sequencing keyboard and that damned thing weighed around 75 to 80 pounds with it's road case. I had that in one hand and my bass case in the other and a gear bag around my shoulder. I don't miss that damned thing (it was actually meant for studio use, anyway, but it's all we had at the time) other than it's sounds. The Rumble is a lot easier to carry, that's one thing I can say about these things.

Here's some excellent intel I've found and is cut & pasted from another thread

During my woofer research, I noticed some interesting simularities and differences.

The 10" S2010 & the 12" S2012 share the very same 4 oz. neodymium magnet and 2" voice coil 'motor' and also have a very simular frequency response curve.

Although Eminence doesn't offer it's 8" neo woofer that's in the Rumble 2x8 cab to the general public, it has the very same 'motor' that the 2010 & 2012 do.

The 12" Eminence woofer that Fender uses in it's Rumble 112 cab is different too, in that it uses the same 7oz. neo magnet & 2 1/2" voice coil motor as the 15" S2515 woofer. Mostly for increased power handling ability. I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't also have a somewhat flatter response curve.

Lots of good intel here http://www.eminence.com/guitar-bass/bass-guitar/
