No one, including Fender, seems to have a "correct" footswitch for the 800 Pro I just purchased. I presume this is a simple "on/off," so will any 1/4" TS single footswitch work?

(If anyone cares, I'm pushing an Ampeg PR-410HLF with it. I'm trying to resist the urge to pick up a second cab, as I'm not sure my windows could handle it) 8)

Your Head was suposed to come with a footswich,.... do you have the manual? at the bottom of the english section where the specs are & where it says Footswitch & next to it there's a part number but unfortunately if not listed in current list of Footswitches..

This is not the right part number but it might work:

If this fails then go to your local music store with the head & see if there's an after market one button footswitch that will do the job.. :)

Good Luck

THANK YOU JAMES!!!

Yes, I have the manual and that's how I know that the "correct" switch is very hard to find. This amp was an ebay purchase, and, while it did come with the manual and a soft rack case, it did not come with the footswitch. If I don't get someone else giving me a more definitive answer then, yes, I plan on trying exactly what you have described.

Knowing the amount of Fender knowledge that is (or, at least, should be) here, I had hoped someone would know of a secret source that my Googling skills had failed to discover.
