I just happen to noticed that they are no longer listed on the website. So, I guess are that there is left is the Rumble and the Bassman Pro.

Last year? Right about the same time the TV Bassman was yanked. As good as they were they just didn't sell. Too expensive. I wanted a super sexy tweed TV Bassman, but a grand + was just too much.

SUNN and SWR are already 'on the shelf'. Genz-Benz is headed in that general direction.

Yeah, I was doing some SWR research the other day and I noticed they only have 7 products listed on their site and most of the internet shops are pretty much cleaned out.

I thought that tweed Bassman was cool, but too expensive, too. It would look cool matched with one of their tweed amps so you can have some sort of retro stage vibe going. I'm kind of a nerd where I like the look matching gear, especially guitars. I guess it has to do with those British Invasion groups from the 60's that matched and a little of ZZ Top. :P

I always thought that rig they had posted on here with the 1200 Pro head and 2x15" and 6x10" cabs was totally bad $@!. I could imagine the devastation you could cause with that rig. If I had the money, I would have bought that in a heart beat to demolish my house. Actually, if I ever played huge shows, it would be ideal. Hauling it, not so much. Then again, if your in that situation, you can probably pay somebody to help you carry it.

Some of the old Pro high powered hybrid heads/combos are still in retail channels even though not listed on the site. These are excellent amps. Heavy duty tour worth stuff.

The TV series was about as over-engineered which is more expensive than the lightweight far cheaper class D stuff people scoop up like sheep. "Hey this amp is 500 watts for $400, so it must be better than a 200 watt amp for $800." Shortsighted shopping.

When you look at "watts per dollar" as the only consideration more often than not you will wind up with a temporary amp, not a keeper.

That's true. The reason I bought the Rumble was the fact it was well with in my budget and the reviews were pretty good all around. Whether or not it will last remains to be seen. I hope it will. I'd have loved to get one of those Pro models, but they were unfortunately out of my price range at this time. Sometimes you have to make do with what you can work with at the time, not necessarily what you like to.

If you ever find an 800 Pro head, snap it up. Wonderful amp. I lament not getting one when I had the chance and now they're gone.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.
