Does anyone know a logical reason why Fender did not include a speaker out plug on the Rumble 350 2x10 combo? I can't imagine that it was just a cost factor, but then again.....

My guess is they just decided to have the full power contained in one unit. Maybe the logic there is because they also have a head version with cabinets for stacking?

The Rumble 350 Combo is a self-contained 4 ohm electric bass guitar amplification unit. It is already at optimum power output level by design.

Perhaps what you actually need is a Fender Rumble 350 Head. It is designed to hook up to multiple speaker cabinets, and play louder than $@!&.

It is my understanding that that is pretty damn #$@*&!% loud.

Yeah, I almost bought a stack, but it was an extra $200, though. I'm not complaining with what I got, though.

I would've done it the way GK did it with their 210 combo: Make the internal driver total load 8 ohms, and provide a speaker out for an external 210 8 ohm cab of identical internal dimensions, giving you effectively a 410 at the amp's max power. 350 watts is a lot to hit a pair of tens with -- I mean in terms of Xmax, not thermal. Unless those tens are so inefficient that it's not much of a concern -- heck, it might even have been intentional if that's the case. But we don't know the specs on those drivers, or what the engineers were thinking, or what the marketing people were thinking (e.g. don't want to pillage market share from the 350/410 separates), so . . .

The main reason I picked the 2x10 combo was cost. I'm not really complaining as the combo is probably more than I'll ever need. I just thought it would make the amp more versatile (and maybe sell another 4x10 cab) for very little extra cost. Thanks for all the quick responses.
