I am very happy with the tone of that 10" speaker. I think the chunky cab may play a part in the sound shaping. For a home personal use, recording or small practice amp, the Bronco is a great value. It seems like the Rumble 350 has it own bragging rights to claim. I would love to have a Bassman TV 15". Can't find one. That fact is saving me money. It is probably good money karma that keeps them out of my reach.

10" Are hard to beat for all around versatility.

I will say I've been sold on the sound of 10's, even though I'm a freak who loves 18's (which seem to be as popular as 8-track cassette players these days :P ) with in the 350 combo. I still would like to incorporate an 18" speaker cab with my amp, either powered or with another amp to power it. I really don't need it, but I love the concept of that combination. The thing now is I think the only company that makes 18" bass cabs (sans PA subwoofers) is Carvin, these days that I found off hand.

Hands down, the very best 18" bass cab is SWR's "BIG BEN . If you can find one, SNATCH it up quick! They didn't make many, and aren't making anymore.

I agree with you 100% that a 2 x 10 cab over an 18 is an ideal bass stack. Two bass amps would also be ideal in order to dial in the perfect tone for each cab totally seperately, and then match volume levels. A single amp will always yield a tone compromise with a mixed driver stack, and one cab will always be louder than the other. The 410 over 115 stack being the perfect example.

Linin beat me to the punch !! but yes as he said try to find A SWR Big Ben Cabinet,.....You should be able to find one on Craigslist at some point,.... SWR cabinets are always available on Craigslist in my area... :)

With regard to the Rumble amps & Speaker combinations,... Fender seems to like the 2x10 paired with 1x12" speaker cabinet.

Yeah, I remember those Big Ben cabs. I never got to play through one though. I did play through a monster 2x18" and 2x10" cab a few times. That thing was the size of a refrigerator and man did it pump out some bass.

I know, sometimes I wonder if I'm a masochist, because I like to go into music shops and play on stuff that I know I can't afford. I guess it's part of the process of being a musician.

I think it's also the never ending quest to finding the best bass amp. Every time you think you've nailed it & purchased the one,....... a new even better product makes it's way onto the market.... :)

Isn't that the truth.

I know. Then there's often that you sell something out of boredom or some quick impulse, you often wind up regretting letting something go.
