Anyone know what the direct replacement speaker is for the rumble 350? All i see on the site are speakers for the bassman etc.. Is it the Same thing? Or has anyone dropped in a different set with success?

The speakers in them now are Fender Special Design speakers. Special Design speakers is an industry spec. most companies use. I would consider Eminence USA Speakers for a replacement.

You really have only two ways to go.

Most companies purchase their drivers from the big driver manufacturers, often to their own OEM specs that you've no way of knowing, and often with some up-front engineering collaboration between the two engineering teams. So...

1. Contact Fender and see what direct replacements cost.

2. Model the cab with something like WinISD to get a reasonable driver match to that cab. If you don't want to learn WinISD, then pay someone his nominal fee to run some models for you. It will pay off in the long run because you won't wind up with a boom box or a fart box.

I assume this is a combo amp. If one driver is shot, you can safely assume the other is in rough shape. If you install a new driver into a cab that contains a marginal driver, you may run into phase/delay problems caused by mismatched drivers running in the same frequency range. Therefore I would recommend you swap out both (or all) drivers for best results. You can get the old ones reconed and sell them as such.

Winisd. Never heard of it. Now i have.. awesome. thanks for the reply. I Have no problems with guitar amps but bass amps that's another story. The weird secrecy behind the drivers boggles my mind. Now I have to be a mini engineer or call a giant corporation. Strange. Anyway i"m gonna make this a practice amp so it'll be perfect to test all these avenues out. thanks again guys.

Weber has some sweet 10" speakers too. One of them is seriously heavy duty.
Quote:
Ceramic Bass 10FH (heavyweight)
$102.00
Weber's heavyweight high-powered speaker designed specifically for Bass Guitar. Crisp, clear, bass tone, with tight low end. Even frequency response. Thunderous low end for 2x10 and 4x10 cabs -- better bring a dolly!

10", 60oz Ceramic magnet, 150 watt, 2" bass voice coil, cloth-edged smooth bass cone.

Eminence is still a reliable a solid speaker maker with reasonable prices. Hard to go wrong with them. You can trust Mr. Nylon. Two of my three basses have nylon strings. He had something to do with it.

You humble me sir. I do like Nylon strings. I've been contemplating Eminence USA 10's myself. I may go with a TC Electronic 410 cab that has the Eminence drivers, and HF Horn on board. The Fender Bassman Combos' had Eminence drivers before they were dropped in favor of the Rumble line.

The Fender Special Design 10" speakers that come in the Rumble 350 combo & Rumble 4x10 cabinet are made by Eminence,....... your local Authorized Fender Dealer music store could probably get you replacement speakers or you could call Fender & see if they'll sell you replacement speakers.....
The guys here on the forum have made some good speaker suggestions too. :)

I've been curious about this, too. I've read somewhere about (maybe it was here) about Eminence being the brand Fender uses. I've been temped to experiment with different speakers (nothing wrong with the stock ones, though) to see if I like the sound better, but I'll wait until the 5 year warranty is up before I mess with anything. Hopefully, everything will at least last that long.

You'd be suprised how many guitar & Bass Amp manufacuters use Eminence speakers in their Cabinets..... most of them actually use Eminence ... :)

Contact consumer relations for the parts list and schematic diagram. These usually are in one PDF file. The part number for the speaker will be on the parts list, as will every other part in the amp. This is good info to have. You can then order the correct speaker using the Fender part number at a Fender dealer or service center. Simple.

To contact them here is the information.
