... record two signals at the same time?

Hi guys
I'm planning to buy the Bronco 40, mostly for recordings on my computer. I'd like to record 2 signals at the same time, the raw signal from the bass (to which I can later apply vst effects) and the modified signal from the amp.
I guess this is not possible using the usb connection, so do you think this would work:
Plug the bass in a di box with two outputs
plug one output straight into my line 6 ux2 soundcard
plug the second output to the amp, and connect the xlr output of the amp to the soundcard
and finally record two tracks in my daw.

Haha, hope this makes sense, do you think this could work?

Thanks a lot and greetings from France
Matt

Hi mattt67,

We will be happy to assist. This sounds like a great setup. It's always ideal to have options when recording, and in this instance splitting the signal and recording them separately will give you more options when you start mixing. We see no reason why you should not be able to record with the setup described. Good luck with the recording and please let us know if we can assist further.

Hi Fender TSL

I just received the Bronco today, and I'm very pleased with it !!!
It just sounds great, and Fender Fuse is a lot of fun to play with

One last question though;
Can you tell me what are the pros and cons of recording via USB versus XLR?

Thanks again
Matt

Hi mattt67,

If you have the option to record a balanced XLR signal, then this is a preferred option. If you don't have the option to record the XLR signal then the USB signal can be a great option too. You can boost the USB signal up to 24db, using the Fender® Fuse™ Software. Hope this helps. Please let us know if we can assist further.
