Hey there everyone! I've been playing bass for about two years now, and one thing I've always run into is bothering people when I'm playing later at night, especially now that I'm in college and have a roommate.

I've done a lot of looking around for some good headphones/earbuds to plug into my amp, but I can't seem to find any that I'm comfortable enough with getting, either due to strange user reviews or specs not fitting what I need. Can anyone recommend a good pair of headphones that will give me good quality sound?

They have to have at least 32 Ohm impedance to work with my amp, and I'd prefer if they were under $80, but a little more is fine too. The impedance rating is what's been the hard part of looking around.

Thanks ahead of time!

Sennheiser HD 280 PRO, about $100.

Audio-Technica ATH-M45 Studio Monitor Headphones also about $100.

Sennheiser HD205 II for about $70.

AKG K77 Headphones for about $43.

Koss UR29 Headphones for about $30.

Yamaha RH2C Stereo Headphones for about $30.

All the above are 32 Ohm or higher.

Skimping on headphones is not a good idea. I'd consider them in about the order I have them listed here. I generally like the ease of obtaining and installing Sennheiser replacement parts.

All of those are 32 Ohms or higher. All are also closed back design, which works good for bass phones. Open air (foam earpads) or open back (ported) designs are less desirable for me when it comes to bass work.

I love the solid bass response of my ATH-M30. Now under $40.

I prefer mid-range closed back options like Sony MDR 7506 and Audio-Technica ATH M50X. Both of them offer a lot of bang for buck. Of course, you can spend more and get studio-grade headphones, but I personally don't find the price premium to be worth it for regular everyday use.
