Hello there, this is my first post hope someone can give me some information on my new amp and cab.

I picked it up in a lock up where it has sat since 1998, apparently that was the last time the tubes were changed. It's in really good condition and seems to be working fine, the only issue is that the tubes are running extremely hot, is that from the tubes not being biased properly?

Also, Im not sure if the cab that I got with it is original, it matches but has 2 x 12' Goodmans of England speakers, can't find much info on the cab so would be great if anyone knew if the speakers are original and if they are worth fixing up, one is breaking up when playing the low E string.

A tube amp that has been in storage since 1998 should have been started up the very first time by an amp tech with a Variac (Variable AC) device to gradually step up the voltage to recharge the caps and watch for problems. I would not restart this amp again myself but get it to a professional amp tech. In fact all tube amps need to be powered up on a regular basis, say at least monthly.

The tubes likely WERE just fine but the caps or rectifier are possibly going into failure or are borderline and might cause serious issues when they fail.

Those are NOT the original speakers but it might be the original cab. The cabs aren't really that good anyway, but the amps are.
