I'd love to know the date / age of my Fender Bassman 50 amp. I can't find it on any online sites. The number stamped on the back of the chassis is...A72274. Thanks

Serial number data for silverface models built in the '70s is somewhat erratic and ambiguous. But you can glean a rough idea of the amp's age by correlating the EIA codes stamped on the trannies with information found here......
