I rolled the dice after checking out the specs on a Rumble 150 combo thinking it *might* make a good acoustic guitar amp - if it didn't, I dabble in bass sometimes and would buy it for that purpose anyway.

Well, let me say ... running an acoustic through this amp with the horn turned on is a great acoustic guitar amp option! It's full, loud, crisp, etc. I like it.

Anybody else try this? Thoughts?

That does not surprize me in the least. Fender's Rumble Bass Amps are very wide ranging. I would think the Rumble 75 with its 12" speaker would also be a good fit. Any of the 75/150/350 Rumble Combos would also make a good keyboard amp. 8)

That would make sense. I guess the only issue you would have is feedback, but then again, that's an issue when amplifying an acoustic, anyway. What do you do for that? Use a noise gate? The reason I ask is I might pick up an acoustic bass, as well as a guitar and I'll probably run it through my Rumble 350.

On the feedback thing, I suppose I must not run it too loudly or something, because I don't tend to have problems with that. Also, my acoustic is Taylor 512ce, so it's a smaller body and less boomy, so maybe that helps too. Of course, staying away from the amp and keeping the acoustic pointed away helps too!

Oh, OK. I used to have an acoustic bass guitar almost 20 years ago and I tried to run it full volume on my amp at the time with a full band. It seemed matter what I did, the damned thing howled. My friend on the other hand, ran his acoustic through his rig without issue. I think he had some sort of pedal board that had a noise gate on it, though.
