Just bought this bronco 40 and I wanted to know if anyone out there knows why I might be getting a static noise from the amp when the amp turned on but is not connected to a bass. It quiets down a bit when an istrument is plugged in but only slightly. When you touch the amp the noise vanishes but it's impossiable to play the amp that way

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated because I like the amp and I don't want to have to return it .

Thanks

Hi parder,

It sounds like you may be hearing a ground loop or electrical interference. Have you had a chance to connect and test the amp in a different location? If not, I would suggest that you do so. And please let me know how it goes. If possible, also connect a different bass and cable to rule out any issues on that end. If it looks like the amp is still exhibiting unusual noise issues, we can look into it further. So, please check this out, and we can go from there. Thanks.

Alan

Thanks it was the wall socket. Had my my head scratching. Work fine at the other wall socket. No noise, no hum, nice and quiet.

Thanks again. :D

Hi parder,

You're very welcome. And I'm glad to hear that it was something simple (and isolated). Please let us know if we can assist further.
