I don't even remember the settings on my Rumble 350 combo. I haven't been able to use it for a couple of months. :( I think things are about to get active again towards the fall. When I finally do get that thing cranked, I'll post my settings.

Well, here's what's currently set on my Rumble 350. I mentioned this in another thread, so I'll just paste it here to add to the list: I have my bass EQ set to center: the mid level set slightly to the right (before the first line;) the mid frequency around the center: the treble slightly to the right (just like the mid level;) and the punch engaged. It's pretty much flat, except for a couple of knobs, but I get a nice tone with it with my active P-Bass Lyte. By the way, the bass control is maxed on my bass with the treble a quarter up from center and the balance more towards the P pickup than the J pickup (I found I've been getting some noise with the J for some reason.) This could be a contributing factor, too. So results may vary.

I have been dabbling with subtractive tone settings of late. Rather than boost the bass, I've left it at high noon with no boost or cut. All shape buttons off/out. I use headphones as much as I play through the woofer of my Rumble 75 (my daily practice amp). After a month's tinkering, I've come up with this setting: Bass - Noon {0 Boost/)Cut}; Low Mids - 10:30 {-3 or 4dB}, high Mids - 10:00 {-4 or 5dB}, Treble - 9:00 {-7dB}

I am amazed at how good this sounds with my Jazz strung in rounds. Lots of low mid growl with a very solid (not boomy or muddy) bottom. Plenty of punch too. You might think that the highs might be too subdued, but no, they are clear & bright, but not overbearingly so. Intelligently attenuated.

This tone setting also works very well with my Precision strung in flats. Extreme Punch/Attack.

And just as you might think this tone setting works very well at high volume levels too. So give it a try, and see what you think, but be sure to crank it enough to really be in your face. Put those watts to good use. :wink:

I never run any of my basses wide open as I've found much better tone & volume combinations than that.

When I first got my Rumble 100, I tried the Overdrive, and decided to just go with the Gain, Tones, and Volume. The rest is set onboard the bass. Heavy on the bass (low) setting.
