Hey guys, my bronco 40 has developed a problem that the volume really low. When practicing i usually have the master volume set to 50% on the rocken peg green preset but for some reason i now have to go to 75%-80% to achieve the same volume. i have tried a factory reset and the problem still remains. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi simiankind,

I am sorry to hear that you are having some trouble with your amp. Has anything else about your setup changed recently? If not, and given the fact that you have done a reset, I would double check items like cables and trying a second bass (if possible). Beyond that, send along an email to the address below, and please include your Forum name, real name, amp serial number, and purchase date and address. Then we will get in touch with you and get you set up with a Fender service center and get the amp looked at. Thanks.

Great reply, Alan. That's what customers want to hear when something goes wrong, not a bunch of excuses. Yeah, try changing out all your things first just to be sure it's not a bad cable, like Alan mentioned. Good luck with the amp, Simian. I myself haven't had that happen, but can imagine it's not making you happy. Let us know how it turns out.

like mentioned try different cables and if anything (if you dont already) buy quality as they'll last you longer and serve your bass/amp better too.

Hi simiankind,

I am following up to see if you are still experiencing the 'low volume' issue with your amp? Please let me know how it is going and if I can assist. Thanks.

I am having the same issue with my volume. My bronco 40 amp puts out less volume on 10 than my brother's 25 watt amp on about 2. I have confirmed the problem lies with the amp. The cables have been confirmed good, as has my bass. I tried my bass with my current cable on several different amps; each of equal or lower wattage than the bronco 40 and all were much louder on much lower volume settings. I should also note that the tone is muddy which i guess could be a product of the reduced output I am experiencing. I really like the idea of this amp (the emulation of all these different amps and the ability to create my own and use already created presets) but so far I have not been very happy with it.

I should also note that I have already tried resetting it, and upgrading the firmware. Its still putting out less volume than it should be.

Any ideas as to what else I might try?

Thanx
