Thanks "Audiofan" for the fenjoyable and fairly deep review of a great product. You hit on some great points which prompted me to post further thoughts on the hope of a Bronco floor pedal, like the one that guitarists are currently enjoying, but for us bassists.

One point made, and we've discussed it here in the forum, is the amp's power output. While I never considered 40 watts to be too much (since they were kind enough to give us a volume knob), I totally agree with you that there's not enough to even politely jam with, especially if there's a ham-fisted drummer anywhere in the vicinity. One of my forum co-horts would like to see a full-fledged gigging rig, but I'm holding out for a floor pedal to go with my existing gear. Any thoughts or opinions from the magazine?

Finally, there were two items you wrote about I wanted to make mention. First was how well-constructed the combo was and I agree with you completely on that. Knobs turn smooth, jacks have a tight fit, and I don't fear it falling apart unlike certain other brands renown for poor craftsmanship. Second, your point about there being multiple choices of Mustangs, but only one choice (so far) for bass players. You're fightin' city hall on that one, brother. We bassists are used to it, but still appreciate a word about it from time to time. I compound that by being left-handed too!Maybe Fender will read your article and these posts and get to work at building us either a knockout pedal or maybe even a series of modeling amps, from the Bronco40 up to the Bronco350. I'll take mine in tweed!

Again, great article. Thanks for sharing by posting it here on the forum.
