Hello all,

I would like to start by saying I just bought this amp for my brother who is a bass player, and being a guitar player who uses a Mustang 1, I really love these amps. The bronco seemed like an obvious choice for a bass amp that would complement the mustang series.

With that being said, I went to Guitar Center on Friday looking for the amp and that store was sold out. He told me he could order one but I really didn't want to wait. Saturday led me to another guitar center and thankfully they had a bronco 40, the only issue was that it was the only bronco 40 and was a display model. I bought it anyway because this is a product that can not be passed up for the money I feel like it is packed with great features, and the sound is amazing! They were able to sell me the amp for $228 before tax, so the total was $245 even.

He said that it was the only amp that they had because they were discontinuing the amp. I couldn't believe it. Why would an amp that just came out not too long ago be discontinued? I have to hear this from the guys at Fender or some knowledgable people in this forum. I really refuse to believe that, partly because I think Fender is on top of their game with the Bronco and Mustangs and because I want to buy myself a Bronco 40 :D

So is this true????

Maybe this will bring a Bronco head or a Bronco pedalboard :P
The weakness of this amp is the cab and the speaker design...
I already have converted my amp to a Bronco head and I am very happy with the results :D

+1 with ya rickbass55, the cab is the Achilles heel and they've dropped it for that so an improved version (or pedalboard) follows then so be it. I still love the tone, but once again tried jamming with it last weekend and failed to get any volume with bottoming out the driver. If it stays in my arsenal it'll be for low-volume practice at home.

rb55, maybe Fender has actually been reading our posts! Loren, can you shed any light on these rumors? Thanks!

Hi Guys,

Yes, Fender reads your posts. And what I can tell you is that the Fender Bronco 40 amp is a current product and if it is out of stock in a given store, I would check with them as to when they expect more in or check with another retailer.

Nice to hear, Loren. I don't mind forking over my hard-earned cash to a company who listens to their customers. So can you tell us if there's anything on the horizon concerning a Bronco floor pedal? I know I've beaten the proverbial horse to death with this subject, but inquiring minds want to know. I've just begun practice with our city band and the tone I hear every night through my Bronco 40 us not what I heard today with my gig rig. I'd buy one tomorrow if it was available! I'm going to wait and see, but a heads-up on it would be real nice. Thanks Fender!

Hi iabssplyr,

We cannot comment on what products may or may not be coming in the future. But in regard to the Fender Mustang Floor, we have recently posted some cool bass Presets on the Fender FUSE Community site. Check them out here: https://fuse.fender.com/mustang/presets ... ender-only

And please let me know if I can assist further. Thanks.

Thanks Alan, I have checked the FUSE community and even grabbed a couple of settings. I know you can't spill any beans, but if anyone asks about any interest in producing a Bronco bass pedal please tell them there's a guy in Eastern Iowa who'd love one. Thanks!

Maybe a stupid question.

But can I use them on a Mustang I then use the USB end of things to record my bass on the computer?

Hi johnston_evo,

Thanks for your inquiry. The Fender Mustang I is not designed for use with a bass. I would suggest that (if possible) you pick up a Fender Bronco 40 or other bass amp. Alternately, you could try using headphones only on your Mustang I with a bass. But I would not suggest playing the bass through the built in speaker.

Yeah thats what I meant. Just to put it through the USB into the computer. I have a bit of a kludge sorted to do it at the mo. But if the USB end would work means I can avoid having a nest of wires

wouldn't even think about using the speaker

i like the sound of a Bronco Pedalboard :)

as i use this for my bedroom/practice amp. ive never had a problem and doubt i will but if any problem regarding the cab appears, does anyone recommend what to replace it with without stripping the whole cab?

Hi BSBFENDER,

I'm not sure I am following you entirely here. But keep in mind that the amp comes with a 5 year limited warranty. So, if you were to have a problem with it down the road, that should help. Just be sure to hold on to your sales receipt. Please let me know if I can assist further.

Cheers,

Thats great! ^_^ Thats why i like Fender :D

I haven't had problems yet, still a bloody amazing amp and with the software being the cherry on the cake i don't think i'll be moving on for a long time :)
What i meant in the prev post is in general if there was ever a fault, if Fender issued any spare parts and where/how to get them.
Also, being in (UK) Europe, how do Fender go about shipping replacement parts or does the Norwegian (i think it is?) warehouse hold all?
I know if it wasn't for G.A.K. i'd be stuck with an EU I.E.C lead when i received this amp, superb store.

i know i'm jumping the gun but i like to be one step ahead "just incase" ;)

Thanks for the support and care, Alan.
