XLR to XLR cables usually keep the signal isolated from ground.
Was this something like an XLR to 1/4" plug or XLR to RCA plug?

Hi Guys,

Just chiming in here. So, Grounding issues can result from a number of different sources, including guitars and basses, of course. In this case, I don't think that firmware is a likely area to look at. The best way to narrow down is by process of elimination.

So, start with a known good power source. Next connect the line output to a known good and quiet audio system (balanced audio). Then, check things out and move on from there. If anyone in this discussion finds that their Fender® Bronco™ 40 still has hum/noise issues, please feel free to contact us directly for additional support.

Best Regards,

Alan
