I just purchased this recently on reputation alone and I will tell you it did not disappoint. I've always loved Fender gear and this amp is one hell of a value. I haven't put it though it's paces live yet (I was supposed to play on WFMU today, but we had to postpone it until the second week of March because they could find an engineer to come in because of the friggin' Super Bowl,) but just playing it in the house I'm really happy with my sound. It's pretty damned loud, too. Whoever designed these really did their homework. I've been playing since 1988, so I'm not a newbie when it comes to gear. I'm just giving kudos to Fender on a great amp. I can't wait to use it live and see how it does there.

Yes they are excellent sounding and quite powerful combos! Local Fender dealer, a smaller store called Music Mart in Albemarle, is where I've played one. I was checking out the basses they had in stock and that is the amp I used. I thought the tone was very professional and it was pretty versatile too. Good pick!

I call it the "Big $@! Fender Amp." The funny thing is that it looks bigger in person, to me than it does on the web. It actually feels lighter in weight than a Peavey Basic 60 that I had to play through until I got this. The Fender is about 7 times the wattage and 100 times the tone. I also have a Fender Super Champ from 1982 and an Passport 250 from the mid-90's, so hopefully it will at least hold up like they have. At least it sounds just as good.
Unlike the folks over on Talk Bass, I don't need some 2000 watt rig (which I find is completely ridiculous, unless you're playing some massive outdoor festival without PA support-highly unlikely.) As it is, I probably could have gotten away with the Rumble 150, or even the 75, but I went with the 350, just in case. It's perfect, especially for playing clubs in New York City. If you've been there, then you know what a pain in the $@! it would be to haul some huge stack around. Especially, when you don't really need it right now.

I was only running 450 watts at gigs at kept getting told to turn down...turn down...and then turn down more. LOL.

In agreement with Dave...

I've had a Rumble 350-210 combo for about a year now to supplement my Bassman 250-210 and a 145 watt fill-in amp.

Excellent product and once you get the 'overdrive controls' set for your own style, it really makes a difference.

Yeah, I've never had an amp bigger than 450 watts. I used to have a Peavey Databass amp that was 450 watts and was loud as hell. I replaced it with a Fender BXR300C combo amp which I really loved the sound of but sold that to foolishly get an Ampeg SVT3 Pro, which crapped out on me. I didn't have a big amp for 8 years, until getting this Fender. Actually, looking back, I've done a lot of stupid things where getting rid of gear is concerned. At least now with age comes wisdom. I've lost a lot of stuff doing dumb impulse things. Never trade anything in, you'll always get screwed in the long run.

I know Ampeg used to be the top banana where bassist are concerned, but I never was happy with that amp. I had to constantly tweak it and it never sounded right to me. It always seemed rather thin sounding, no matter how I tried to EQ it. Of course, there could have been other factors involved, but the thing just blew up on me, anyway.

The BXR300C was really nice sounding. I'm glad the Rumble has a comparative tone, from what I remember. I've seen some for sale recently, really cheap. I guess there isn't a demand for those, considering what's available these days. If I have the available cash, I'd might pick one up. As long as it is in good working condition. I don't really need it, other than for nostalgia's sake. It could be a nice supplement to the Rumble, though.

this is my 2nd one i was very foolish and sold the first one now i have another and i will not be selling this one. it is a great amp loud and musical fender is a great company with good quality control had a bg500 from tc electronics returned it for the 350 combo from fender. This amp has all the in /outs you will need with a very very good clear tone. for bigger gigs i will be taking a line out of the send into a power amp into a fender 410 cainet works for me. :D

Another thing you could also do, if you want, is slave another combo from that one. Unless you already have the cab and power amp, that is. I thought about this before I bought mine, in case I needed to. It seems to have enough horsepower for what I need, though.

i have considered that to it may be more cheaper to do it that way and less bulky wonder how a rumble 150 115 would work is there a power mismatch?

:D

That would probably work. In fact, that's what I thought of doing initially. My plan was going to see if I could stack the 350 on top of the 150. This was before I even realised the power I do have now. It would be something sort of like a 15"/2x10" stack. At least that was an idea. I've ran two amps on occasion in the past without any issue.

Interesting idea to stack the Rumble 350 combo on top of a Rumble 150 combo for 2 X 10" & 1 X 15" stack. You'd sure have plenty of power! Adjust the 150 for solid meaty bottom, and you could even dial in some low end grind with the overdrive while the 350 could be dialed in as a clear and articulate punchfest. Talk about wide ranging sound! Cost effective too vs. 350 head with 2 X 8" & 1 X 12" speaker cabinets. Another big plus is to leave one combo at practice and the other at home.

Yeah, that was the idea. Less stuff to carry, plus you don't have to worry about speaker cables, as well. The 350 has more than enough power for me, though. But if for some reason I'd ever need more, I'd probably still go that route.

Keep in mind that if you daisy-chain a Rumble 350 into a Rumble 150 (line out 350 to line in 150) you may not need all the volume that is available in the 350 combo. Set both combos with the rear casters removed at a 15 degree angle to each other toward the audience and throttle back the 350... Try it and you'll see what I mean.

That's an idea, too. As it is, I have yet to really even crank the 350. I did once when I first got it to see what it was like. I'm sure I'll eventually do that again at some point.
