I know which models all the others are modeled after except the Monster model. Anyone know what amp this one is modeled after?

Just laying a guess here, but i figured it was possibly a Fender creation from something they used to offer, like a the guitarists' Metalhead series, or something totally made up. It has a vintage look, but sounds modern. Anyone else for a guess, or perhaps a definitive answer?

Thanks for the reply. That is also what I'm starting to think.

Anyone else have any thoughts or definitive answers on this? Any of the Fender mods have an answer maybe?

The Monster model is definitely a Fender creation.

Thanks for the response Loren. That was pretty much the general consensus. Y'all knocked another one out of the park. I'm having just as much fun with my Bronco and bass as I do my strat and Mustang. Although I gotta admit I don't like that much distortion on my bass sound, that Monster model sounds killer on my strat with an OD pedal used only as a treble boost and a little delay. :) Did I mention how much fun theses amps and the Fuse package are? :D

Good for you, Rodc. The amp is a blast, and in a practice situation, a useful tool. Tell me, do you feel a pedal-version of the Bronco would fly, much like the new Mustang pedal? I believe so and am trying to drum up interest. I'd like to read what you think. Thanks!

I was really impressed when I saw Loren making comments here and in the Mustang forum. After buying a Mustang I realized why. Everybody is happy with them and the Bronco. No one is complaining and no one is grinding him. I know there were some issues with the bigger Mustangs but, mine is great and the Fuse software is excellent.

Yeah, I thank it would, because quite a few bass players I know, do it in a Praise and Worship setting, and most times volume is a major issue and they are going direct into the board and out the pa speakers, so even though you can easily do that with the Bronco40, you really don't need the speaker and all for that type of application and having everything you need right there in front of you and footswitchable would be a pretty nice option for those guys.

I agree, they are solid products. I also have a Mustang I and I will admit, at louder volumes there is a noticeable fizz on sustained notes. But since it was a $100 amp, and at lower, "bedroom" volumes and recorded with the master volume all the way down, the fizz isn't noticeable, I'm not gonna make a big stink about it. It suits my current needs just fine. If I gigged out I would probably go tube and pedals, or possibly the Mustang V head and cab route, and then I'd be more concerned about sound at louder volumes.

Hey Rod,

I'm glad you like the MI. Do you have the latest firmware version installed on yours (v 1.9)?

I sure did. That and the latest Fuse upgrade too. I like the way it automatically pops up as a choice when you start up and connect the two together online. That way if you're like me and don't always go online to check it let's you know when one is available.
