It's funny how old things can come back, too. Look at the resurgence of vinyl records, as an example.

I liked records. Mainly the jackets they came in. Sometimes posters were inside them with the record. "Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits", had a cool poster in it. Sgt. Peppers had some stuff in it., etc. There was something special about record shops too.

Yeah, we actually still have a record shop in town, although I have yet to go to it. I don't even have a record player right now. I'd like to get one someday. Speaking of records and their sleeves, remember the Cheech and Chong one? :P

No, I don't remember that one. I had two Fire Sign Theater albums.

It was the one that had the giant rolling paper in it. I think my oldest brother had it that I remember him saying and they actually used it. :P

Cool. I don't remember that one. Album covers were cool for sure.

I've seen the records out again, but I honestly haven't seen what the prices are for one.

Usually around the $20 mark, give or take $5 to $10, depending on what it is. Then there's always used and/or old ones.

The cost of oil is a bit higher now, then when the original albums were first out. I think I paid just over $3.50 at a Zayres store in Fort Lauderdale, for The Beatles, "Magical Mystery Tour", album at it's release. Don't ask me how, or why I remembered that one.
The original album cover of The Jimi Hendrix Expeirence "Are You Experienced" album, had parts of it that glowed when in Black Light.

I remember Zayre's. They had one in St. Pete, when I was a kid. I probably got most of my toys there, because my mom shopped there a lot. I wasn't listening to records yet, so I couldn't tell you about that one.

I do remember seeing my older brother's records, and those giant wooden stereo consoles, though. His had an 8-Track in it, as well. It wasn't until I got into my early teens that I really started paying serious attention to music, other than just whatever my parents, or siblings listened to. I remember the first time I really heard Led Zeppelin and thinking "what the hell was that!?!" It was the intro to "Heartbreaker" that sucked me in.

Oh yeah, I still remember the first time I heard it. I use to walk around town with a boombox when I was a teen and it came on the radio station. I use to tape the radio on the cassette and listen to that, too. I remember they used to have that King Biscuit Flour Hour (I think that was the name,) which was the live shows, or they'd have I think was called Rockline, which had musicians on the air and people could call them and they'd play their music.

One time, they had Jimmy Page on there when he put out "Outrider," and I had taped it. I wish I still had the tape, since I doubt you would find that online anywhere. That was also the first time I heard "In My Time Of Dying," since I didn't have "Physical Graffiti" yet. I know that's a strange concept, considering it's probably my favorite Zep record, but it was one of the last ones I bought. The first one was actually "Coda," because my brother had a cassette of it, that I pilfered quite often when I became a Led Head. :P

I have "Outrider" on disc. I remember hearing The Kinks, "All Day And All Of The Night" on the radio when it released. DAMN! That song put a ZAPP on my head, something fierce. "Paint It Black" was another one that shook me up! The Yardbirds, "Heart Full Of Soul"!!!

Those are some classic tracks that stood the test of time, I think. Of course, back then, you heard all of that on AM radio. My girlfriend was talking about how she remembers the first time she ever heard FM stereo. She use to have an AM radio, when she was little. She is 5 years older than me, and remembers the late 60's/early 70's.
