That thing was. I'm not sure of the weight of it, since I never had to move it, but the overall size was quite compact.

No matter which way the 15's were pointed, the weight of a 15" is still it's weight. No NEO's then either.

Yeah, that was the mid 90's at least. Maybe they started developing those around that time, but they certainly weren't prevalent.

I think you're right about the time of developing NEO.

I know they're more expensive, although the price seems to have gone down a little bit than from back then. I could be wrong, though.

I think they have dropped in price. Pretty amazing though.

That's the thing sometimes, prices can often fall when they're out long enough. But then again, they can also jack up prices, too. I was looking at that Eden cab at AMS and they raised the price of it $20 to $269. Not massively expensive when you compare it to other cabs, but it's only $30 less than the Fender 12" cab now. I have to look at the specs, but It might be just worth it to do the Fender, instead. The reason is the Fender had more of that vintage aesthetic to it and the Eden does not. That's a bonus with me, since I do like the 60's style with amps, so we'll see about that one down the road. It still depends on the specs with both of them.

We were talking about a Coral Kilowatt a day or two ago. I found this, but couldn't find any pics of it.
CORAL
Amplifiers previously produced in Neptune City, NJ between 1967 and 1969 by the Danelectro Corporation. Distributed by MCA, after buying the Danelectro company and trademark.
In 1967, after MCA purchased the Danelectro Corporation, the Coral trademark was introduced. The Coral line was MCA's marketing strategy for direct wholesale selling to individual dealers, instead of selling to Sears & Roebuck. Once the company went that route, however, they came up against competition from the larger guitar manufacturers at the dealer level. The Coral line of guitars and amplifiers was only produced for about three years. The Coral amplifier line included a variety of tube and solid-state models as well as PA units. Coral's Kilowatt amp was advertised at putting out 1000 watts of peak power (300 RMS) and included a head with two speaker cabinets each containing 8-12 in. speakers.

I think I had found something with a pic a while back, but I don't have it at the moment. That sounded like a pretty cool amp. I wonder why it didn't catch on?

It was pretty mammoth with two 8X12 cabs needed to get the full 1,000 watts at 4 ohms. I don't remember ever seeing the price tag on one, and I think I only saw a pic of one on a music magazine back cover advertisement back in 1969/1970.

It's like one of those elusive amps like this one: https://www.kustom.com/index.php/bass-amps/kxb800.html I've never seen this amp anywhere other than perhaps one or websites, with the other ones that carried the brand never listing it with the rest of their products. It's been listed on their site for a couple of years now, so I'd think it would have been in production. Sometimes, companies do this stuff. Kind of like put the cart before the horse. I will say, two 8 x 12" cabs are one hell of a wall of sound, I'm sure. It must have been a joy to move, though. :P

When I started at Roadie, it was unheard of to use a hand truck even.

No hand truck? That had to be a joy to move stuff around like that. :P I'll bet you all were probably pretty good shape doing that, although it could seriously screw up your back.
