I am trying to use the Aux in connectors to hook up a CD player so I can play along with the CD in my lesson book while I have headphones on in the middle of the night. All I get is a super loud boom noise and no music. I'm using a basic DVD player which plays CDs with the typical audio out red and white plugs. Can anyone help me?

To quote the Rumble 350 owner's manual...

Quote:

K. AUX IN -- Plug your CD player or mp3 player in here. The amp controls do not affect this input. Adjust the volume or tone of the aux signal at its source.

In other words, if you have a DVD player that has a FIXED LEVEL output, it MAY be too much input for the Rumble 350 to process. TRY running a patch cord from the HEADPHONE jack on your DVD player into the AUX IN on your Rumble 350 and START with a very LOW volume setting on your DVD player. IF your DVD player does not have a headphone jack, then you may have to switch to a CD player or mp3 player that does, to accomplish what you wish to do.

Another possibility might be to use the CD/DVD rack in your computer. Most PC CD/DVD racks have a mini stereo headphone jack with a front panel volume control for that headphone jack. Radio Shack has a patch cord with a 3.5mm mini stereo headphone plug and two RCA pin plugs, red and white for left and right channel.

No matter what your CD source is, start with a very LOW volume setting and gradually increase it to a comfortable listening level out of the Rumble 350.
