I would like to think they are in the pipeline and will at NAMM in January. I have no evidence or knowledge of that. I just like to think that. The Bassman TV's are neat amps, but I'm hopeful some redesigned standard Bassman series amps are on the way. They revamped the Rumble series last year. So maybe....

There is a big thread on Talkbass, there it is mentioned that in october 2011 it would be announced, one day left.......

There will be a new range of cabs (in the silver cloth style) with amps based on the bassman 70/100/135 with modern features like autobias and many more, wattages in 100,200 and 300.

Are they coming?
Are they here?

Apparently they are in the R&D pipeline as FMIC field-tests them prior to production.

Wonder what kind of price tag those babies are going to have?

At least they "look" like Fender amps. :)

And even though they will probably be assembled in Mexico, at least it is on this side of the Pacific.

Didn't Ampeg (AKA LOUD Technologies) move everything offshore to China? Crate as well, I believe.

I believe some of the "Nam-pegs" are built in Southeast Asia.

That's a safe bet as most Fender amps are MIM and would be my guess too.

Nice looking MIM's. They make good amps by and large at Ensenada.

Loud Tech did move DID move everything to Asia. In the past 6 months to a year though they have resumed production of USA made versions of the Classic SVT head and cabs badged HERITAGE SERIES for a substantial boost in price. Contract labor just isn't the same as dedicated lifelong skilled happy assembly workers though, so I'm not sure it is worth the huge up-charge.

Oodles of problems have been reported with "Asianpeg" heads, cabs and combos which scared anyone that reads early Chinese reviews away. If you own pre-Loud Ampeg USA stuff by all means hang onto it. Seems that Pre-Loud Ampeg gear will eventually be as desirable and collectable as Pre-CBS Fender stuff. The Asianpeg stuff has been disappointing and some dealers have stopped carrying them. You still see them on TV a lot, but those are older USA rigs and often a house rig or rented from a backline company.

Prior to Loud Tech's move to offshore production, all Crate stuff was made in the same building at Linden, NJ where the Ampeg stuff was made, which made it a pretty neat value line. I've not heard of any plan to return Crate to USA production.

Let's see, that leaves Mesa, Carvin, Fargen, the Peavey TOUR SERIES only, some Eden pro line and SWR pro line as USA made. Maybe some others? Can anyone name any others i'm missing off the top of my head?

I was hoping to see the Fender Bassman line moving into something more along the lines of the Carvin Micro series combos or MarkBass. Those new Bassmans are pretty and pretty heavy too I'm sure.

Indeed.

But think of the career opportunities for all the young budding roadies out there.

At least the amps seem traditional in layout......no bells, whistles, or blinking lights on the front panels, no camouflage-print Tolex, no glow-in-the-dark grill cloth.

It's a pity we don't have photos of the business end of those amps - the rear.

They resemble the tube Bassman series, but..... Aww, hell, I still want one.

+1

I definitely want to take a look "under the hood" too.
