Hi AndyF69,I will be happy to assist. To answer your question, in short the answer would be, no. There is no “speaker out” to connect to a larger cabinet. As was already mentioned in the thread though, the XLR output, or Headphone Output, could be connected to the input of a power amp to drive a bigger speaker system (or to the input of a larger combo amp). Please let us know if we can assist further

So in other words I can use the XLR output & plug it into the Back of my SWR Amplite power amp which would then be plugged into either my SWR 2x10 Cabinet or my SWR 4x10 cabinet.........Cool :) & as I said in an earlier thread back in October..I plan on getting myself a Bronco 40 for Christmas. (Can't Wait !!)

Hi James Coderre,

We will be happy to assist. Yes, you can hook the XLR output from the Bronco directly to the Amplite XLR input. All you need is a standard MIC cable.

If you want to also run a signal to the house PA, it looks like the you can run a signal out of the Amplite “Pass Thru” jack. For that, you could use either a 1/4” TRS to XLR balanced cable, or just ¼” mono unbalanced (guitar cable). Please let us know if we can assist further.

Thanks for the info,......that's exactly how I thought it would work. :) I'm so looking forward to getting the Bronco in 2 weeks & then doing some experimenting..Fun times ahead... :)

One more quick question though, The Bronco 40 is 40 watts at 8ohms & my Amplite is 400 watts at 4 ohms & my SWR Cabinets are both 4 ohm 400 watts........will the Bronco's Ohmage & power be cut in half & would there be any wattage issues.......Thanks in advance

The Bronco's power and ohmage will not be an issue. The two lines out are just a signal to go into the input of an amplifier. Preamped or not. Your 40 watts and ohmage will stay the same.

You're welcome. Not sure how many of us Bronco owners there are. Besides, we can't expect BrotherDave to have to answer every question about things bass.. :D

So true!!.... & with regard to how many Bronco 40 users there are, I'm not sure but I think it's been a bit of a slow seller.......I think it's a very under rated & under appreciated practice & recording amp among Bass players even though it's gotten excellent reviews
in Audiofanzine, Bassplayer & several online music gear review sites...... :)

I understand power can be a consideration. I needed a home practice amp after years of barely playing. With my juices and chops flowing again I began to acquire and assemble some pieces that would allow me flexibility in different situations. With the bronco supplying any number of very desirable tones, I can hook it into the beast below. I can also just grab the 4x8 or the 15".

Last gig was just the Bronco on stage as a monitor while I went through the house system. It worked very well.

Yeah the tone options are encouraging & the thought of getting a Gallien Kruger, Ampeg or SWR Redhead tone with the turn of a knob & to also have some effects on hand if needed
is awesome & the mere fact that I could plug it into my Amplite & a 2x10 or 4x10 Cabinet is just plain cool....thanks for sharing the pictures. :)
