I play in a funk/blues band. We are pretty energetic and our music can sometimes get pretty loud; aggressive drummer and a guitarist who likes to crank it up. I used this set up last night at practice...and I'm amazed at the performance of this pretty small and light weight rig! I set my volume at about 10:30 and everything else flat and it rocked all night! It was fabulous! I played a Lakland 55-94 and also a 2010 Fender American Deluxe 5 string and it handled the low b without a worry. Although the controls were simple and straight forward I was able to get several very usable tones from this head! I'm going to use this rig at a medium sized gig this weekend in a fairly large room with PA support and will report back with my results. If last night was any indication, however, I am officially a fan. Rock On!

This little stack served me admirably! It sounded great all night and was able to hang with the loud guitars and drums. I am amazed at the bass response from these two cabs! Now I am seriously considering getting another set up. 2X 2X8 and 2X 1X12 would be all I ever need! I just need to find a 2ohm stable head! Any Ideas? Great Job Fender! Homerun on this new Rumble stuff as far as I'm concerned.

Just an update...I have used this set up on several gigs and, as stated before, it has performed admirably! I absolutely love the portability of the whole set up and it sounds great! Unless I need to move some serious air at a big outdor venue, I doubt seriously, I will ever use my other amps, other than at practice. Once again, homerun on this one Fender!

lol...all tube goodness may also be in my future! Although, that head weighs more than both cabs and my basses!

How do you connect the cabs to the head? Do you use both speaker-out jacks, one for each cab? Thanks.

You posted this question as a separate thread so I answered it there.

Welcome back! Electronically so far as the Ohms it doesn't matter. But for sake of safety I connect the two cabs individually to the amp. That way if one cable is bad, I don't lose both speakers. If you daisy chain cabs and the primary cable from the amp is bad, the daisy chained cab won't work either. This could cause damage to your amp.

I have just recently started using a RH750 with the 2X8 and 1X12 and I can only daisy chain them, since the TC head only has 1 out. It seems to work well, but you're right, if ever on cable fails then all fail. I'm going to gig that set up this weekend. I let you know what I think.

I just wanted to bump this thread up since some interest has been shown in this Rumble 350 head and cabinet combination.

Gougedeye, I see you have the Super Bassman head now and Neo 610 cab. Do you still have and use the Rumble 350 rig, or did you sell it?

I still use the Rumble stuff for small to medium gigs, although, its hard to leave the Super Bassman at home! That rig really kills it! But, I'm still very pleased with the way my Rumble stack works.

Unfortunately, Gougedeye's last post was almost a year ago right here on this thread.

What I'd like to know is given the Rumble 2x8 & 1x12 neo cabs would you:

a) use the mixed driver stack that Fender shows using one of each, because they were designed to compliment each other.

b) use two of the 2x8 cabs. Super Punchy. Moves as much air as two 15" woofers.

C) use two of the 1x12 cabs. Are the lows actually better than the 2x8? More Umph? Smoother? More Mellow? Or just different? I don't know.

If anyone here has played them in a live band setting in a club, please clue me in.

I'm also interested to know about those 8"s, since I've never used speakers that small. How do they actually work for bass?

If you read Gougedeye's original post, he's very enthusiastic about the rig. I've found him over at that place where they talk about bass a lot and sent him a pm. In a thread titled "Rumble 350 Head: Joke or Serious?", Gougedeye made this reply to the OP "I have been using my Rumble 350 head and 2X8 and 1X12 almost exclusively for the last 2 or 3 months. I can get some very usable sounds out of the head and cabs. It is really pretty loud! The thing I like best about it...it's light weight. My basses in a gigbag and my head, cabs and wireless in my arms. One trip from the rig and I'm in the venue and set up. My old back loves me for this. Its not quite enough for big, outdoor stages, but works just fine for small to medium jobs. I imagine with good PA support, it would be fine for large jobs, as well. I am a fan of this gear. I play exclusively 5 string and it handles the low B like a champ. I'm impressed. I thinbk Fender hit a homerun with this gear!"

There's also a thread there about 2x112 rigs that's 18 pages. I waded through them all and not one mention of Fender's Rumble Neo 112 cabs. The interesting thing here is a definite trend towards the light wieght 112 configuration x2 stacked.
