okay. i have a 1973 bassman 100 head. 100 watts load 4 ohms. If I plug it into one of the new rumble cabs with 4 ohms impedence, I should be safe right? no fires or explosions or blown speakers...? I don't know much about the ohms impedence stuff I just wanta plug in and play.

There shouldn't be any problems. The Bassman 100 can safely drive a 4Ω load in each of its two speaker jacks. A single cab must be wired to the primary output jack though.

That head should do very well with the new cab. 4 Ohms is still 4 ohms.

Thanks. I kinda knew it would be okay, but you know how sometimes the doubt creeps in.. fpbass, I've got the exact same bass you show on your post. It doesn't quite stack up to the old 78 p bass i had, but nothing will :) Still I REALLY LIKE IT. I'm an old guy I don't like change.
