Hello all.. After many, many years I am back at playing bass guitar. I have recently joined a band and recently purchased a Traynor YBA 200-2 (200 watt)Tube Head. The type of music we will play is Classic Rock with the above mentioned head which Cabinet would give a good sound? I am looking at a Fender Rumble 1x 12 cabinet or a Fender Rumble 4x10 cabinet. Suprisingly the Rumble 4x10 cab is cheaper than the 1x12. Has any one here on the Forum had experience with either one of the above mentioned cabs? Thankyou very much,,Laurence (Laurie) Potter N.S. Thankyou for the reply fjbass. I did price at my local music store that the Rumble 4x10 is avaliable to me for $299.00(CDN) and the Rumble 1x12 is avaliable for $399.00 CDN. The Rumble 12 is classified as a "lightweight" cab where the Rumble 4x10 is not. Maybe that is why the price difference. I do also have a Yorkville combo (200 watt,1x15) that I have had for years that I may sell. But any one have experience with either the Rumble 1x12 or the Rumble 4x10 cab? Laurie.

For classic rock the most popular speaker sizes were 10 inches and 15 inches. 12 inch bass speakers were only recently introduced in pro line gear. 12 inchers are a compromise between the big boom on 15's and the fast attack of 10's. The 4x10 cab is gonna be way louder probably. Look at the SPL on the spec sheet for each cab. Also that is a very potent head. I'd consider it the equivalent of a 400 watt solid state head since it is all tube. Keep that in mind also.
