Correlating serial numbers on vintage speaker enclosures to a specific model year is a crap-shoot at best. It's usually easier to merely compare the dimensions and cosmetic clues to the known year-group styles. That said, many (but not all) cabs will have a penciled or ink-stamped date somewhere inside. Often this info is concealed on the reverse side of an interior cleat or even beneath the Tolex covering.

Best of luck, HTH

thanks. so i'm just gonna run with it must have been a set because it matches right down to the the type of moorings where the head fixes on to the bottom. it must be a match. any chance you might know the price one could get on the open market for a verified 1967 bassman w/ 2 x 12s thats in exc. condition looks and operation wise. just dusty but i'm going to blow the dust out and vacuum it and shine it up. i also have a frontman 60B that i'm gonna replace it with.less space ya know.

If your cab is the "small box" version (21" x 32" x 11.5") you'll likely sell the rig quicker than if it's the "big box" tall version (29" x 39" x 11.5").

Ultrasonic cavitation method--This particular method is a destructive method like chemical etching. In this method, the forensic scientist puts the firearm in a special ultrasonic bath and inundates it with super high frequency vibrations. These vibrations produce the cavitation
