Hello. I recently purchased a Fender Bassman 300 Pro head and am wondering which of the cabinets would be best for it. I have an Ampeg 8x10, and it sounds great, but am wanting matching brands, and am thinking either the 6x10 or 2x15. I play groove rock, not really heavy, kind of STP like.

Does anyone on here have either one of the Pro series cabs with the Pro 300 tube head?

Thanks!

Congratulations on your purchase of the best bass head ever built. It's much more than an SVT. I have this with both an 810 and an older 215 that was built just after Fender bought Sunn. The 300 Pro & 215 were both Sunn designs. I love the sound of the 215. It can play clean, but begins to break up when pushed. Great for rock and blues.

Also, learn to use the compressor. I have mine set at 6 on the high, 1 to 2 on the low, blend cut down the middle and the gain trim at 3 to 4. Its the best compressor I've found that is built into an amp head. Most are just one knob with very little control.

Now the bad part...

I got sick of lugging the beast around and dropped to a lighter rig.

Hope you back is stronger than mine.
