Hi! Hope someone can help me out with this question. I was given a Fender Squier 15 Amp but cannot find any info. Is this a bass amp? Thanks for any clues! :D

The Squier 15 is a guitar amplifier. It's a pretty decent practice amp for the money. And for free, it's a very good practice amp.

Thanks for your swift reply! I am a little bit confused though: is it a bass guitar amp or a electric 6 string guitar amp? Where can I find the specifications on this amp & any ideas how old this model is? Lots of questions :? lol

When people refer to a bass amplifier, they specify, "BASS AMP". A "GUITAR AMPLIFIER" refers to an amplifier for instruments other than a bass. This isn't a bass amplifier. It's an amp made for six string guitar and other applications not requiring the use of a bass amplifier. Its circuitry and speaker aren't made for bass applications.

As far as dating your amp is concerned, they've been around, at least, since the nineties. Squier products have been made all over the globe, from the USA, Mexico, Korea, Indonesia and, I believe, India. The "15" is a relatively simple SS amp that recently, has been used in low end beginners' guitar packages. Finding specs on them is a bit of a task. All I can suggest is to keep "Googling"!

Sometimes the controls and settings are a clue weather it's bass or guitar.
