In my band the two guitar players both have really nice vintage looking amps. These around like the size of a 50 watt amp. Any way my peavey max 115 is "ok" in sound but doesn't really have the look I want. That being said if I got a new amp I'd obviously want an upgrade in sound.

So I was wondering if there any good priced vintagestyle amps? Guitar players have our bassman amp so I was wondering if there are any good tweed bass amps. The bassman tv series maybe??

Thanks, will p

I don't really know your budget but they have vintage style amps at musicianfriends dot com if you want to take a look over there (no affiliation).

Pickup a Fender TV. The tweed covering and oxblood grill fit the bill and the tone is pure Fender. I bought a TV Fifteen about a month ago and am still surprised by how good it sounds.

I've seen where people complain about the price on these. I looked for a good three months before buying the TV and I couldn't find a comparable combo for the price.

Thanks for the replies! Glad to hear good things about the tv series I like the look of them. Can any one get me link to what one might sound like?

Also a link to the messa power amp that was metioned. Might as well check them out to keep my options up.
