With the Fender Bassman series gone, what amp would you purchase in place of the Bassman series? Not counting Bassman TV series as a Bassman. Brand of amp, and combo or head/cab.

If it doesn't have to be Fender, I've tried the new Acoustic bass amps a few times. I like the sound of the B200 matched with the 1 X 15 + horn cab, but the 4 X 10 was decent too.

If anything, I found it to have somewhat more of a classic (deep) sound but I've only tried it in the store. Also, I'm comparing a 1 X 15 with the 2 X 10 in the Bassman. If I "had it to do over," I might have gone that way, but I didn't find it enough better to replace the Bassman I have.

Traynor Bass amps have always been good performers. If you could pick up an old Mono Block you'd have one of the best bass amps ever made.
