I just received the TB1200 and I posted that I am waiting for the 810Pro cab to get here.My question is: Is it suggested to go Fender Head with Fender Cabinets? I do have Ampeg heads and cabs. I like to pair them up in the same way . I know of course to match the Ohms etc. I tested the Fender Head with an ampeg 4ohm 410hlf. Now I'm waiting for the fender cab to get here. the amp seems like its going to be a real monster. I currently use the ampeg 4pro with the 810e cab and I could hook up the fender head to that one but I'd rather not mess around with it. Its seems like its similar to changing engines or putting on a different set of tires that do not go with the vehicle. It'll run but its not made for it. I'll post when I get the set up completed next week........Thanks Forum........ :!:

TB1200 and an 810 PRO? That sounds like a sweet setup.
1200 watts of pure Fender sound. Ooof! I'd like to hear that.
When and where is your first gig with it?

Following up my original post, I am very impressed with the TB1200 and the 810Pro's quality when directly compared with the Ampeg products. the 810E cab is nice sounding but isn't well contructed as the Fender 810Pro. The price is just a $300 difference (more for the Fender ) but the grill is real pro tection. With the Ampeg if I still had cats they would have found a great scratching post and in general I can put my fist right through the grill. Sound for both cabs is great but the Fender products stand on their own. I have spent a lot of $ on both but i do not regret it. The Fender TB1200 is a great head and I might when I have the money get the full tube amp ($2000) .
there is too much hype when it come to the Ampeg SvT tube amps and I am beginning to have my doubts about the quality. I did try the SvT CL ( ok it was B stock ) for $ 950. It turned out to be so loud and usteady sounding that I sent it right back for credit. In conclusion, I am sure to keep this Fender cab and TB1200 and want to tell other forum members that the quality and sound is really worth it. I am not a suck up etc. If I don't like what I buy instantly , "It gets returned" . these purchases are as serious as buying a new car. Bass equipment are meant to be played and have to stand the test of time. I have a Fender Jazz ($500) with active pickups. Soon its getting traded in. On the other hand a new Squire $200 generic bass (passive) is a keeper. I'm thinking I should invest as much in basses as I've spent on amps and cabs. My opinion is that the amp comes first and a great rig makes any inexpensive bass sound great. that's it....great posting...feel free to voice your opinions....
