This bass amplifier forum has been open for quite a while now and there are not very many posts/topics. Is it because bass amps aren't as exciting to discuss as guitar amps (which has a ton of new posts daily)?
Your thoughts?

ES11 -

From previous experience in music forums in general, the bass sections are frequented by a select few persons because there are just not as many bassists as there are 6 string lead, rythem and backup guitar players.

We are collectively just as proud of our guitars and amps as everyone else, but the lower population of basists just does not create a high turnover in postings.

Perhaps here at the Fender Forum, we can do something about that...

Lets all try to pay attention to the questions and jump right in with our experiences, suggestions and assists... we can all learn from others no matter what our level of experience is. :)

I love bass amps. I love Fender bass amps. But you know, guitar players change their sound, amps and effects like they change underware (hopefully) :D

We bass players, know what sound we want and know how to get it.
Fender P-bass, Fender Jazz bass, a Fender Rumble when you are getting going, a Fender B-DEC to practice with, and a Fender Bassman to perform with.

There. Done. A good bass sound.

Unfortunately, not much more to be said.

could it be that Fender bass amps aren't that popular? Around these parts, we see SWR, GK, old Acoustic, but I've never seen a recent, pro quality Fender bass amp model in use.

I hope I'm wrong. I work with 5 different bassists, most run direct to the PA. I'll ask them what they think of Fender bass amps and if they know of any players around here that use Fender.

I agree. I don't think there's alot of bassist that play through Fender amps. Especially compared to Mesa, Ampeg, Gallien, and such.
