I bought a rumble 100 used and I love it. Question about the red stage lights: they don't light and I'm wondering whether they're broken or whether there's a way to turn them on and off, and maybe they're just turned off.

no this is not critical functionality:), but not knowing what's up is bugging me. Does anybody know whether there's an on/off switch somewhere? I've seen it suggested in google searches that you can turn the lights on and off but I'm not seeing a switch on the amp. Thanks for any relevant info!

I have the same amp and I love it!
There should be a switch on the back, probably on the left side?
Hopefully that helps, I only found it then.

I just checked the manual and it makes no mention of how to turn the lights on or off. There isn't much to the manual though it just shows the front panel controls and explains what they do but nothing else.

Anyone know when Fender stopped making the Bassman 200? Mine has the classic Fender logo, not the Fender Bass Amplification logo. I bought mine used at Guitar Center in Chicago. I've had it for few years now and it cooks. My Fender Geddy Lee Jazz sounds fantastic running thru this badboy!

Can anyone tell me how to put a pic of it up? As I would like to find out what year it is.[/url]

I'm either blind or there's no switch. Anybody know exactly where on the back it's located? Should it be where I'd expect it, on the top, rear panel where the power cord attaches and everything? Or is it in some non-obvious place?

I see the LEDs in there...I guess this is a final appeal for anybody who may have any insight on this. Did Fender ever make a Rumble 100 without the switch? Just grasping at straws here.

sweet!! that was the picture I needed!!

Thanks and it confirms I have no switch  . The panel on the back of mine is similar, but definitely not identical. I'll take a picture when I get a chance and post it.

No wheels either. I'm starting to think maybe this is an older model, or something that was purchased overseas? Maybe something that was modified for some reason, or maybe even a fake? Dunno, I'm at a loss. There are LEDs but no switch.

I picked up a Rumble 60 2nd hand that needed a new vol pot. The LEDs were not working either. I had to pull the speaker to get access to the edge connector for the LEDs. Easy to reconnect and now it works fine.

i know this is late, but if you haven't found it yet, there is a lights on/off switch on the back panel of the amplifier section....i believe on the right side as you're facing the back of the amp. i have 2 of these, a 100/15 and a 100/210. the lights are a bit "cheesy", but if you get off on pulsating red lights showing through the bottom of your bass cabinet i can see why you'd want them functional.

I have the model that has the switch in the back but it just turns them on and off and they don't flash to different dynamics. Is it the model or am I missing something?

I don't think they flash. They just stay lit.

If I remember correctly, there is a "modulation sensor" in the audio output section that allows the built in stage lights to brighten slightly on high volume peaks. I am not certain, however, what the model year break-in point was for that 'dancing lights' feature, but I have owned two Rumble 100's since 2002 and both were equipped with the on/off switch and the pulsing modulation circuit.
