As a professional bassist, I am always interested in gear with the best performance in the "strength-to-weight ratio" area.

It seems many other manufactures are stepping up to the demand in this critical back saving area. Not to mention, with little or no compromise in performance (tone is very subjective).

Neodymium-equipped speaker cabinets and refined switching amplifiers are becoming popular in the bass community. I would hope that the "father" of the bass guitar would help lead the way with this new emergence.

I personally use a hi-fi neodymium-equipped speaker cabinet, in conjunction with a switching amplifier. I have been pleased with the results on various stages (large concerts and small clubs).

Yeah...Give us a 450 watt head with a built in tuner that weights 9 pounds and a 4x10 that weights about 40 and then we are getting somewhere. Oh, wait TC Electronics already did that. Ok then TOP IT! I'm tired of moving heavy gear.
