I just bought a Rumble 75 Combo, and i am digging it muchly. The tone is much better than I expected. The 12" speaker is pleasently punchy & meaty. It is the perfect practice amp for me. I am very happy. :D

Nice. But that is one of the funny things Fender did. "Studio" bass with 6 6L6. You need that much in a studio?

Still a nice rig though, man!

Yeah- 200w in the Studio..... I LIKE their thinking!!

The Adverts for it state - perfect for STAGE & STUDIO

Well, it CAN be wonderfully dialed for some low volume crunch-using the channel vol & Master. A HALF Power option would be SWEET!

GREAT rig there Mr Eye. :D

NOWHERE in my town, not even the Fender Dealer  has these new BAssmans - 100T or Super Bassman - in stock
DAMN THEM!! I'm happy with my STUDIO BASS, pictured above, but, damn I'd like to try these. Closest place to me (AFAIK) is The Bass Centre in Melbourne- Aus.

My local Guitar Center doesn't have any either. And the guitar dept is staffed by mostly bassists. Go figure. I haven't checked the local Sam Ash yet.

My rig is a Bronco, but I have help. A stereo amp with 250 watts into 8 ohms going into a cab with a 15' speaker and another cab with 4x8" speakers with a horn. The 4x8 has a great clear sound. Same company just came out with a 4x6 rig that is lighter and has no horn. I want it, LOL.

I put my xlr line out through an old underpowered PA head I have. It allows me to boost a very weak signal from the Bronco, to something respectable. The head has two unpowered outs and one allows for use of the EQ (bass, mid, treble) and reverb, if I want it. The Bronco has great effects and I have nice custom reverb/echo combo that is very light but sweet saved for regular use. The EQ does have some nice shaping uses.

The SCX2 is for my guitars.

I play the bass only occasionally so rather than invest in something elaborate (and expensive) I put this rig together for those moments when four strings will do......

Image

The amp's a 1980 Bassman 135 and the cab is a '74 Bandmaster that I reconfigured for the low-frequency mission by replacing the anemic OEM Oxford pie plates with a pair of modern-spec Eminence 12-inch bass drivers. It moves some *serious* air now. It's stage-worthy and cost less than a grand.

Cool rig. 8) When I saw your picture, before I read your post, I thought you had all of those amps rigged up together for some wall of doom. Have you ever thought about attempting that for grins?

That's actually only part of one wall in the studio.

Here's what both look like, photographed before the arrival of the new bass head......

But, no......I haven't ever fired them all up simultaneously.

It'd likely brown out the entire county.
