I don't know, maybe they come out with stronger building materials someday that can withstand that, but I suppose there isn't much you can do against Mother Nature when she's pissed off.

Design of buildings that are more rounded, letting heavy winds to have less resistance when hitting them. And I guess just heavier walls, like the old castles used. Roofs are always a weak part of a building to Hurricane type of winds too. I don't know! Image

That's true. It seems that's the first thing to go, from what I've noticed.

Roofs do seem to be the weaker part of most structures hit by heavy storms. After Andrew hit south Miami, the codes for larger, heavier roof anchors was imposed in the Miami-Dade Hurricane codes, that are considered to be the guidelines for a lot of other areas in the country hit by hurricanes.

I wonder how much they would help with that?

Maybe not that much. In other places, the roof buttresses aren’t made strong enough either.

I guess it's pretty much a gamble either way.

It's so true, ya' never know what's going to happen. Just do the best in preparing for the hit, if it comes your way.

That's true. By the way, how's the Rumble 100 working out for you?

Outstanding. It's a Fender combo. A great tone to it. The Eminence 12 is a fine size to fit in the cab. I also like it being about the medium size speaker, and power of the Rumble line. I can't find anything wrong with it. The Eb-0 is like it was made for the Rumble.

It's probably the combination of the humbucking pickup going through the 12" speaker.

Thats the best way to go for me. The front end of the Rumble works well with it as also. Fantastic tones.

You ever switch around the settings, or you just keep it on one setting?

After doing some trials, and errors on the settings, I keep them set the way they are. I like them set as they are.

I know what you mean, I've always thought that I'd want to experiment with the settings, but usually wind up just keeping it on one solid tone, and level the volume. I'm usually too busy actually playing than just tweaking the settings. I suppose I could turn it on and mess with it myself, when I'm not jamming with my girlfriend.

I figure once I get the amp settings done, the rest should be the easier settings on the bass. For me, it's always been easier that way. I do rotate the amp setting knobs every once in awhile, to keep the contacts clean, and dust free. No static build up that way. When I rotate the knobs on the amp. I just make sure they all go back to the original settings. I'd rather do that, then have to spray the cleaner into the pots. The same with the pots on the bass. With the EB-0 only having a volume, and a tone, it doesn't get any easier.
