Yeah, it certainly makes at least that aspect of it less stressful. The less crap you have to worry about, the better.

It really doesn't have to be stress scenario. It's just watching what's going on around the area, with out paying attention to distractions. That's the biggest problem to over come.

That's true. I imagine that there's usually not a ton of people around backstage that aren't really supposed to be there, anyhow, was there?

That would sometimes depend on where the show was. Some places were more strict on the security of backstage. It usually was the larger the venue, the tighter security was all over. Not just the backstage areas.

So, I imagine somewhere like Madison Square Garden must have had pretty tight security in it, then?

MSG is one of the more secure arenas. The old Houston Astro Dome was up there also for security of everything. The indoor arenas were more the style of backstages I preferred to work.

Yeah, I imagine so. At least with those, you didn't have to worry about the weather so much, like you would with an outdoor one.

Just more of a controlled atmosphere. Or at least it seemed that way.

Maybe it was the layout of the places?

Looking back on it, a combination of the two.

By the way, I'm not sure if we discussed this here, or another thread (either way, it's off topic, but you know how that goes,) but I suppose here is just as good as anywhere else, and remember we were talking about Gibson strings, and how they now use D'Addario for their basses? Well, check this out: https://www.gibson.com/Gear/Strings They even have short scale flats for bass. I saw this the other day, and thought that was interesting.

That's cool. Not what I'm looking for, but very cool. Image

Hey, it looks like Gibson wants to get back into some old school stuff. If I ever have an Epiphone or Gibson, I'd certainly try those.

Its almost like they maybe want to sell more items, than 4 - 6 thousand dollar LP 6 stringers. Maybe.

Yeah, unless you're a doctor or a lawyer, or maybe someone like Jimmy Page, that's a hell of a lot of cash to put down on a guitar.
