I did the deal on the Fender Rumble 100. It's the right way for me to go after all. A 100 watt, 12" Eminence, and 22 pounds. Plus, a real Fender Amp Badge.

Very cool. 8) You know, I had a feeling that you would. It does have some nice specs to it.

It really does look good all the way around. I'm going to have some playing time with it tomorrow.

.
Congratulations, Rex!

Do you mean that "real Fender logo badge" came already installed on your amp? Or that you also bought the badge?

I mean, I've seen where some Rumble 115 cabs were sold with the blackface badge already installed, instead of the usual, but more rare, 2-screw flat badge that comes on most Rumbles. If Fender was marketing the Rumble 115 with the blackface badge to Bassman owners, it worked in many cases.

Thanks G-Dog. No, the 100 didn't come with the blackface badge. When I was on the road, and any Fender with the badge that was totaled out for a new one, I snagged the badge off of it before it was totaled out. You may say I have a collection of them.

Sounds good. 8) Doesn't that have more than one tone setting for it, or channel, like overdrive, or vintage, something like that?

Yes it does. It does have the gain, Vintage, and Overdrive channels like the Super Bassman. Pretty close to the same as the Bassman heads.

I suppose the only difference is it doesn't have any sort of tubes in it. If that were the case, then the prices would be higher on them, probably. Speaking of that, I was looking at basses on the AMS site and they've hiked the prices of both Fenders and Squiers. Some of the Squier basses are $399.99 now, instead of $299.99 and the Fender Player Series basses, like the one you had, are now $699.99. I suppose that isn't a drastic hike on the Player Series, but it's an entire $100 for a Squier. That Bronco bass they had for $149.99 is now $199.99. My Ibanez is actually cheaper then that, now, but Ibanez prices have been usually consistent. I guess they have so many models in different price ranges, that it wouldn't really work out to raise any prices on them, when there's the next model up there already.

They sure don't mind kicking up the prices. Tariffs maybe involved here?
I forgot to mention the other day that my Rumble 100 is made in Indonesia, not Mexico, or China. The Epi EB-0 is Indonesian manufactured too. Maybe steering around the tariffs with China this way.

I'm not sure if it's the tariffs or not, since those basses are made in Indonesia, unless that country is also effected by it. I thought it was geared towards China, though.

I don't think it's tariffs then. For China, I would guess so.

I've noticed the majority of basses from most of the brands like Squier, Ibanez, Jackson, etc. are made in Indonesia these days, especially around that price range. I really didn't see a hell of a lot coming from China, really, I guess there's Epiphone that is. I wonder how many actual Indonesian factories are making all of these? Since Jackson is (or was) owned by Fender, I'm assuming probably the same place. The one thing about the Squiers being around $400, is I remember when MIM Fenders were, but then again, the Squier stuff is generally pretty decent. If I had it all over to do again, I probably would have held on to my Squier Precision Bass, but I got hung up on short scales, because of the violin bass.

I'm not to up on why some Epi's are Indonesia, and others are China still. So far from what I've seen, Indonesian manufacturing is doing great. I was thinking the Rumble 100 was going to be a Mexico made. The last Super Bassman I had was Mexican made.
The Epiphones are a toss up for where they're manufactured too. The EB-0 is Indonesian, as was the EB-3. The Epi Viola was China manufactured. Interesting what you've seeing with the Squier, Ibanez, and Jackson manufacturings too.

I do believe Epiphone has it's own dedicated factory in China, and not using some other company that also builds other brands, which a lot of them do. I don't know about any of the Indonesian stuff from them, though.

Hasn't Indonesian guitar / bass manufacturing been going on for some time? I'm not up on it either.
